As odd as it sounds, I have to agree that my property rights trump your freedom of speech on my property. This is my opinion as I don't know the law and I imagine it might be different for appartment complexes.

I think that even if "being offensive" is really their reason for the policy, it was a horrible choice of words to explain it to the public. They should have just said they wanted a uniform appearance for the apartment complexes, and probably no one would complain.

When I'm on my property I think its an entirely different matter. If I want to fly the stars and bars, that should be my business. If I want to *burn* a flag on my property, that is again my business.

Sebster, I don't understand how flying a lot of flags is "redneck", or even why that is so bad. I mean, if someone said they might be banning low rider automobiles because it would give the impression of blacks and hispanics living there, and that they could understand that, how do you think people would look at that statement?
