You're really missing out. I saw Zombieland in a half-full room, and they had to turn up the volume to not be drowned out by the laughter. Paranormal Activity was also greatly enhanced by having the crowd's reactions.

I watched Sling Blade for the first time last week. Was a mighty good movie.

Deliverance is on in the background right now. "Squeal like a pig".

I watched "The Spirit" over the weekend. Going in, I expected to hate it based on the trailers and opinions/reviews I had heard about it. I was pleasantly surprise that it was funny/campy enough that I actually enjoyed it instead.

I just watch "Pulse", the original, not the American remake. It's perhaps the most uncompromisingly grim movie I've ever seen, like a Metallica videox1,000,000.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.
