About the LotD, you may want to do an overbrush of Skull white over the bone areas. The wash makes it seem like they were just burned by a flamer.

Hey there dakka, recently completed my LotD squad, and was hopin for C/C from you guys on them. Yes i realize that there are 12 marines in there, and legally i can only field 10, but thats my plan is that the 2 extras are there if i want to drop the flamers.

hey dakka, been hard at work on my Snakes' army and now have a squadron of land speeders to show for it. Im hoping to hear some C/C on them, as well as the army as a whole.

Nice speeders. And I'm gonna go against the flow and like the LotD. The bone makes them look really old and battle-worn.

I hadn't actually seen any LOD yet so thank you for the pics Personally they look great painted wise, model wise is it just me or do their legs seem "thin".

Your modeling is excellent, the only problem is how plain the silvers are. They can really benefit from washes. Also were you attempting to spell Ithaca as in the place from the book: The Odyssey? (the only reason i thought of this is because of all the Greek terms in these pictures). All in all good work.

Yes, the Iron Snakes home world is Ithaka, which is why i put it on the side with a k.

small update folks, been out of town recently, and havent gotten pictures of him till now, but here is my repainted, former salamanders chaplain, now an Iron Snake:






As is my usual, C/C is most welcomed, and appreciated.

All you need to do is touch up the bone and highlight the mini, and it'll look great!

The eyes are definitely the best part of that mini.
