I'm still waiting for a Nemo miniature wearing a labcoat and a red tie.

I haven't played Warmachine since my old store closed, but I always enjoy reading rules, so I'll definetly get the book.

The problem is they have worse "creep" than GW IMHO. If you have an army that you bought and painted when it first came out, just about every unit has been replaced by a better unit that can do more or is generally more powerful. Once I was plainly outclassed just because I wouldn't buy the newer minis I decided to sell my army.

Clearly you haven't played WARMACHINE in a long time. The newer units don't replace the older ones and all Prime armies can and do still win. That being said, there has been some "creep" that's being reset by MKII. If you enjoyed the game when it first came out, you'll love the changes in MKII.

Eric,

the hordes/warmachine compatability is great. even though warmachine is going through MK 2, PP is hooking up the hordes community with the playest Hordes MK 2 rules soon so that everyone is on a level playing field come the new year.

im playing friday games with evan at my place, he chose menoth, ive been using my khador but im itching to get my trolls on the table when the playtest drops.

hit me up when you want a game.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

A friend of mine who plays warmachine/hordes says the rules are fully compatible with either, in fact, games with miniatures from both are often played together at my FLGS. So much that it's often referred to as "Warmachine/Hordes" amongst those of us who game.

Yup.

The only real reason they have to split the test and re-release is to limit the
faction development to 6 for Warmachine and 4 for Hordes rather than try
to develop 10 simultaneously.

I've heard the MkII rules are trying to fix this. At least, there's more reasons to take the big warjacks over infantry, which I understand was an issue.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

At least the newer stuff didn't change, invalidate or simply eliminate older options. The Terminator with assault cannon has been on a rollercoaster ride of useless-pointless-awesome-pointless because of how either the user or weapon changed in profile. The Khador Juggernaut remained unchanged, regardless of the progress of the game (until now, I guess).

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus
