I really miss nuking tanks with my Vindicators though...:-(

Well, I guess when I say they nerfed 5th ed tanks, I guess I really mean what they classify defensive and offensive weapons as. I miss that from 4th.

Fair enough-- I play Orks, and my Big Shootas on my BWs dearly miss S5 defensive weaponry.
On the other hand, not too many things were affected. Orks' Big Shootas, Landraiders' Heavy Bolters. and IG Heavy Bolters (but, with Russes at least, you can now move and fire ordnance + 1, so still a net gain for them).
What vehicles do you normally run?

I usually do a mix of Chimeras with autocannons, Leman Russ of various types, and Sentinels. I'm currently putting together a Vendetta. I guess I don't mind the 5th edition rules, I'd personally change what counts as defensive and offensive weapons back to 4th. Seems if we go with that house rule, everybody is equal, and it's fair for everyone.
My Leman Russ variants are as such
-Exterminator
-Executioner
-Demolisher
-Vanquisher
-Demolisher/Punisher/Executioner
-VDR built Leman Russ Earthshaker (yes, that's with a turret direct fire Earthshaker cannon)
Sentinels
2 Autocannon
4 Lascannon
1 Plasma Cannon
Hellhound (old school, proxy for other variants)
Soon to have 2 Vendettas
Manticore
4 Autocannon Chimeras
Baneblade
Shadowsword
Stormlord
Stormhammer made with VDR as my army flagship.

I'm near Columbia and recently dusted off my army and would like to get back to playing some games. I think the reason I gave it up for a while was I didn't have a group of people I could count on playing games with regularly. What were the details on this group you mentioned?

I've not had a chance to game with ArmyC et al yet, but if you want to meet up at Heroes for a game some time, I'm available in the afternoons for gaming most days.

I have been hard at work upgrading my game area. I put air conditioning in the garage, and have 4 6'x4' tables available. I have a ton of terrain, including 2 new Imperial Sector city terrain, just finished.
Come one come all. I have the summer off, so I can game most any time. I play Eldar, Space Marines, and am in the process of building Tau and Orc armys.
I can build up to 10,000 points in SM, and 9,000 of Eldar.
I always spring for pizza and beer for new players.

I play with some guys in Charleston. Maybe we can have a Charleston vs Cola Apoc battle sometime. I can guarantee that Charleston will win but it should be fun anyway!

Figured I'd check in here in Goose Creek (Right outside Charleston) I am in the process of building another couple of tables for the garage to 40k on. Have a decent bit of terrain and an Imperial Sector begging to be built.
