Yeah, WHFB is less balanced than 40k right now, but I like both as they are. (Damn DoC)
In WHFB, maneuvers are a tad more important than in 40k, whilst in 40k, target priority is more important.
Plus, I mean, Dragons. That's what I like.

There is always something that grips someone. I dont know though if tanks and heavy machine gun fire may get the better of dragons.

How about a flying King Tut bug? Does that trump a Dragon?

I do not like it when dragons are involved in fantasy. They are either pure concentrate of clichés, or a hopeless attempt at a realistic flying lizard. That breathes fire. The closest someone has done it was in LOTR2.
Anyway...WHFB turns too much to steam punk when they introduce dwarven machine guns and flying devices. They should keep it more realistic, and try and get away with magic more often. Like Aiongaurd:The future of Fantasy!

If you want low fantasy, play Warhammer Ancients. WHFB is for those of use that don't mind High Fantasy.

This is a problem. However its more skaven that are the culprits. A warp lightning cannon??? Its almost bizzare as the star wars univerise, high-tech lightspeed ships a long long time ago??? I think they should have a more magiky backround to theese things. Like a magical warp cannon. I think magic could make improvements if it was included a bit more.

My point, exactly. They even get teleportation devices and a cosmic mutagen...

Does GW think that just because the games called Fanasy they can make things as fanatical and weird as they like?? It would be better if it was more realistic and perhaps had historical elements to it.
