No music during the match, I usually keep Zune running in the background with commentators muted.

Now I've got a whole team looking at some namechangery.

Okay, I was wondering about that. Weird. No I have to plough through my MP3 collection to find music that fits Blood Bowl.

How can I change the desing of the players? Add bitz and stuff. Color switching appearantly is not an option.

I believe if you order the downloadable version you can choose the option to have them send a cd too. My suggestion is to just forget about the hardcopy and just download it and burn your own cd.

That depends on how much you know and like the board game and how often you have the possibility to play in a league.

Personally, I love the board game but have very limited experience with it. After the very negative 360 reviews I went ahead and bought the PC version last night rather than continue to wait for the US release.

The load times seem a little ridiculous. When you need to specify which player is currently being loaded, that might indicate a problem. At times, the AI seems to have much difficulty in deciding what to do next, taking up to two minutes to decide on the next player to move. Against a human opponent, this is acceptable and maybe expected, but not against AI. The decision tree isn't that big here...

I'd also fire whoever designed and QA'd the activation process. The activation email contains two codes, not labeled which is which, one required to install, the other required to run the game the first time, but you can't alt-tab out until you A) activate the game and B) find the menu option, so you have to cancel, write down the second one, reload the game, and then type that one in? WTF?

Despite its flaws though... I'm hooked!

And I thought my version is just slow.

Disappointing news. I love the board game and really no longer have the time to get a real world game in. This is too bad.

Well, with any luck, it will be bargain basement cheap or fixed via patch on Live.

You may have been joking but there's a sticky on Cyanides forum that says :-

"READ ME: Games Workshop’s Intellectual Property
by Callyste on 14 Oct 2009, 18:39

It is always the intention of Focus Home Interactive and Games Workshop to support the Blood Bowl Community by allowing leagues to create their own fansites etc.

At the same time, we have a duty to ensure that Games Workshop’s Intellectual Property rights in the Blood Bowl Game are protected. In order to help our fans, and so that they do not fall foul of these rights, we suggest that you take some time to review Games Workshop’s IP Policy on the following link http://legal.games-workshop.com/.

The policy is addressed primarily to those who want to exchange news, information, ‘house’ rules, and so on via the internet. The basic principles in the policy apply equally well to fanzines and other hobby activities. It gives guidance to fans as to what they can and cannot do with Games Workshop’s Intellectual Property, to avoid them running the risk of having to alter their use of Games Workshop’s Intellectual Property.

Within the policy there are some simple rules, such as:

1) Do not mention any Games Workshop Trademarks, such as “Blood Bowl” or “Warhammer” in your URL or league name; and
2) Do not screenscrape any content from official websites.

There are also a number of more general guidelines, setting out the spirit of the policy. If a fan follows the policy in spirit and letter, then it is highly unlikely that Games Workshop will take any action to prevent their use of Games Workshop’s IP.

Focus Home Interactive would really like to support massively all your competitions by relaying them on the official forum or on the official Blood Bowl website. Although, just like all the official announcements made by Focus Home Interactive, inclusion must be approved by Games Workshop, you must understand that any league or fansite that does not comply with Games Workshop's rules cannot expect to be supported.

So point 1) presumably means that if you start an online league you can't call it a Blood Bowl league .... or say it's a GW game .... in the Warhammer universe ... so if you go online looking for a league how are you supposed to search for it?

I'm still trying to find the option to customise your players in the XBox version. Can anyone help me with that?

Its been out on PSP [hardcopy only] in Australia for awhile now, got my copy the first day. Still waiting for it to hit PSN which will in turn make it a PS3 game, I personally agree if this is SCE discussion as projected sales would be small.

On that note, is there any difference between the PSP version and PC?

You can only do this when purchasing a new player. The new player will be a light blue colour, you then select player details and the option is there. Missed that on my skaven team but found it on my orc team
