I'm in the process of building a Dark Angels army, and am looking for some local action. I've just picked up 40k while visiting my family over the holidays after a pretty significant hiatus: the last time I played was back in the OG Rogue Trader days, so I'm pretty much starting from scratch.

Right now I'm living in the Sunset in San Francisco, but I go to school in Hayward, and work in Orinda, so crossing the bay is not an issue for me. I am looking for a casual environment so I can relearn all the rules, and how to use my army.

I go to Endgame in Oakland too. Great location, very close to BART and has a vibrant 40K group. They usually meet up on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

will do man! my army is like half painted and i would REALLY like to play people who aren't 12 and knock over my metal models damaging the paint...

I know, I was sooo pissed when some kid broke my custom boneswords off my swarmlord, each one took like 45 minutes and now its never going to look smooth again. And I dont mind half-painted, in fact my nids are in the process of being painted currently.

oooo well im getting back into the hobby so most my army is half painted, i had a really niceley pained belakor DP model but it has some chipped pain cuz of a newbie whick i need to touch up, ugh!

Belakor always made such a good daemon prince especailly if you hated the current model, like I do.

Cool, I've been playing my unique hive fleet but still haven't created a name for it. and I still got alot left to paint....

oh, i have like 1000 points of crappy primered/broken tryanid models from when i was 10, i saw the new codex some Excellent new units! kinda makes me sad that i have a deamon army in the works too now, not enough $ or time!

Me and my buddy started to play in the area we are both in our late 20s. We are just getting into the hobby. We have been gaming at the Empire GW in Antioch/Brentwood but they are closed on Mondays which is one of my buddies day off and my work is flexible. We are still learning the rules but have some pretty solid fantasy and 40k armies so far. We have been in Gamer's Guild in Antioch and I hear they are making it better for Warhammer gaming, but the staff does not appear to know the rules too well and with us starting out we really need someone to help guide us through until we get learn the game, they also do not open until like 2pm on Monday which is a little late for us. Would be interested in Black Diamond, one thing I did notice is they do charge GW prices where most non GW shops offer a small discount from the GW prices. Drop me a PM.

My name's Ken and I am new to the forum but haven't been playing 40k for a while now. I just recently got back into this crazy game with the purchase of the Assault on Black Reach box. I am looking for new to intermediate players to get me back into the game. Where do you guys usually go to play 40k? I would totally be down to run a few small skirmishes with anyone. I just recently completed painting the Assault on Black Reach starter kit and I am also working on creating a nice 6'x4' game table in my garage. ( I am waiting for the turf and terrain pieces).
