I totaled my car recently and my mobility is a tad shot but.... all my friends flake out on me with playing games or riding to our FLHS (which isn't even that local!!). O was wondering is anyone else lived in the East Bay or Bay area in general lets get some games going!
Oh i should have specified, I play 40k

I live in livermore and used to go to both stonridge and alamo GW's. Personallyi don't have gaming space anymore and the other closest gaming shop is in pleasanton but i've never been there.

I live and play in Oakland regularly, at Endgame; they have a wonderful space, with a ton of terrain and such, IMO.
It is easily reached via BART, bus, or whatever.

It is ~2blocks from 12th street BART. Their site (that I linked) has directions as well. I try to go at least 2x a month, sometimes a lot more.

Well, Black Diamond is right down the street from my house, although Alamo is close too. Plus most GW stores seem to always be filled with annoying little kids who's parents idea of a baby sitter is a gamer in a red shirt.

Eh Right now my only issue is really my transportation dillema....
almo isn't that bad. i don't mind playing highschool kids as long as they're polite but they do have alot of younger kids....
Stonridge has some really fun older players but they dont come often... well one does.... but uhhhh yeah i don't enjoy playing him. plus the kids there look at me playing any imperial army like space marines and go "YOUR PLAYING AS CHAOS? WOW YOUR GONNA LOSE!!!"

Well, the easiest way to get to black diamond is to take BART and get off at the Concord station. You could bus from there or I wouldn't terribly mind picking you up.

Maybe next month. The tournaments are once a month, although we have a league once a week on Monday. There's a calender on the gamestore website:

And if anyone needs to take the bus from BART, take the County Connection #11 from Concord BART and get off at the corner of Fry and Clayton. It's walkable from there, about a block or less, but the store isn't immediately visible from the bus stop so you can mapquest to be sure.

I'm from napa, currently in Los angeles but i'll be in napa by the end of the week. I usually play at great escape games, and I have played in San Rafael before, though I don't know of much other places.
I'd like to get something going, I just don't know how to deal with transportation.

Have a small gaming group (5) that meets in a garage at a home in San Leandro, S.F. East Bay. Right now we are just playing Warhammer 40K. This gaming group is ranging from intermediate to veteran gamers. Gamers new to 40K please do not feel intimidated and consider yourselves welcome. Current players are coming from S.F. and Berkeley, so anyone in the S.F. Bay Area don't think you are too far away.
