I never said that the Imperium is nuts. It could stand to be improved, yes. Things would need to, and should, change for that improvement to happen, yes. But it's not nuts. There are just way that things could, over time, change in humanity's favor that would ultimately benefit everyone.
Except for the xenos. They're disgusting creatures best left far from Imperial worlds, unable to cause the Imperium harm. As for those fallen to Chaos, it is regrettable that their deaths must occur but a hesitation in the face of obvious taint would be weakness, doubt, and heresy.

Those fallen to Chaos should be mourned, those souls that once likely served the God-Emperor in honest truth fallen to such depravity that they must be put down like animals. That's not to say hesitation should win the day, or that the deaths of exceptionally corrupted souls would not be nearly welcomed; the mourning is for the loss of a once-faithful soul. Enjoying the murder of a creature of Chaos is to open one's self to the whispers of the Ruinous Powers and eventually fall victim to that which you most loathe.

.... Meh. You have a point. I'll give you that one, grudgingly. Allow me to amend it to say that one must be careful when deriving enjoyment from the destruction of a heretic or xenos?
Also, paraphrased that earlier quote of yours for my .sig cuz I thought it was too awesome not to. Hope you don't mind. (:

I merely observe that a more stridently monodominant view of humanity's plight amid the cold and uncaring stars of this drab materium would lead to less . . . curiousity regarding the tender, humid warmth and color that billows and heaves just beyond this veil of tears, yearning to swallow the soul of man . . . for surely the soul is not too much to pay for such bliss? As I said, just an observation. I suppose the Radicals have some good points, too.

Moderate Polypsykana. Humanity is evolving towards an entirely pyschic race, and it is up to the ][nquisition to collect psykers, train them, and use them against Aliens, Daemons, and Heretics.
After all, the God-Emperor of mankind is the greatest psyker ever to have lived, and we seek merely to emmulate him.

It is not an emulation, but part of a realization; The Emperor and Humanity are becoming one. Psykery in this regard is no different from knowledge, or courage, or purity. The Emperor is being made manifest in you... can you live up to His ideals?

Less 'what I would be' and more 'what the Inquisitor from my group's Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader is', but since said Inquisitor is sort of the avatar of the non-burny members of our group it is fitting. (Non-burny: those who do not follow the philosophy of 'burning everything in sight'. Said individuals do not burn out of a cleansing flame, they just want to see the world in flames and laugh at the destruction. Said member is also reminded that if he keeps trying to shoot into hand to hand combat I'm going to feed him to the daemonhost.)
Considering our group, across the two games, has two curious members of the Mechanium, three psykers, an occasional daemonhost, and there has been some suspicion that someone in the group may have an interesting brand of a many headed beast concealed on their body... definitely radical. We've joked that if we meet a puritan we'll all have to be on our utter best behaviour, the telekinetic will pretend to be a mere scribe or similar, and we are hightailing it out of the system as soon as practical possible without attracting suspicion.
Xanthism all the way, then.
EDIT: Don't post on 5 hours sleep, the typos are atrocious.

Bah! all of your 'philosophies' only lead to one place: the Warp! even Eisenhorn couldn't keep himself from falling to the Warp, and he was a stauch enemy of everything about Chaos. it just takes a little temptation here, a challenge with daemonic power as the only solution there, and a little help from some of your most trustworthy friends (a daemon bound in your best friend's dead body and the soul-in-a-box of an ancient heretic) to bring an inquisitor over to Chaos. look at Quixos. he was one of the best too, and he died thinking that he was serving mankind.
poor inquisitors, such a stressful life. maybe a little knowledge would help you...
