IG Orders dont matter when you still get slaughtered in combat. Youd get outranged and out close combated. Theres a reason you dont see these lists, but you actually see ork hordes (and soon to be nids)

Nobody ever asked about the best horde army, they asked for the largest

How painful is FRFSRF? 50 lasguns doing that? That's roughly 25 solid wounds or so that the orks will have to just soak up.

And that's only the first combined sqaud...

A couple of basilisks will do what exactly? Armour 14 isnt such a big deal when it just needs to be stunned.

I think youre forgetting that 50 guys takes up a lot of room. Most will not get shots or attack in CC, and BS2, S3 is going to do nothing for you. You have 2 meltas per 50 guys, so there are going to be holes to assault.

Correction; 2 meltas and 2 meltabombs per 75 men! =D

and the point isn't to kill anything, it is to capture objectives, spicificly in planetstirke, although with hundreds of bodies, you could effectively form a 3" perimiter on every objective on the board, preventing those cowardly (insert last-minute grab army here) from contesting your objectives.

Each 10 man sqaud in a platoon can be formed to be a 50 man squad. You don't HAVE to put 'em all together. And they EACH have a sergeant and thier choices of special or heavy weapons.

Besides, at no point has a basilisk been AV14.

And IG are BS3.

And where are you going to put the squads? It doesnt matter if theyre together or not.


And my post was using the other fellows list, who has BS2 units. Regardless, it doesnt matter because with such poor range and number of men eating table space, youre not going to get the # of shots, especially when you have 2/3 units being assaulted at a time.

And youre right, its AV12.... which makes it even easier.

Point is, Orks and soon Nids > IG

Why would you use grots? If you want you can field "the green tide" which is a squad of more then 120 models, no maximum. Also even if you didn't you could still filed squads of 30 orks.

BTW, the IG aren't suppose to win the fight. They're supposed to die slowly enough so that we get shots off with our Basilisk or whatever right into that horde of yours. And with that many boys, no matter how bad the scatter is we'll be hitting something.

Besides, Conscripts are more of an Add-on. They're not the main body of IG. At best you can have 0-2 in every platoon, while you have to have 2-5 IG squads.

Okay, look at it this way, you give me a list of an Boyz Horde in 1000pts (iclusing a cheapskate HQ) and I'll do the same. Don't include anything flashy (like giving nobs power stuff). Just cram as many guys on the field.
