Okay, waaaaaaaaaay overdue for an update, so I'll start with this, a Tauros with heavy flamer (first of 3):

The body's a void Junker buggy I acquired off a mate. I need to build a new roll cage; without seeing IA8, I'm speculating units of 3 and a flamer makes more sense for loadout than gl, imo. I'm also building a 6 wheeled version (still need 1 SM bike wheel for the front though), which I'll hopefully magnetise with the two weapons.

And onto the Death Riders, which are DKOK torsos from a centaur crew (except the helmetless one, who's on an empire state torso), void junker legs, empire outrider bits and lots of gs:






Still a fair amount of detail work to be done: build up smoother gs greaves, bits for the pipes, claws etc., but you get the gist.

Ok, another update. Here's the 3 flamer tauros, though still no roll cages yet, which will be .5mm brass rod.

I've just started collecting DKOK and its great to see some Death Riders with horses that are doing something more than just standing about... hoping oneday FW will release some charging ones... but great job.. really liking your work

What base vehicle did you use for the Venator?

I have the same buggy you used for the Taurus Assault Vehicle (VOID junker buggy) but I wasn't aware of a dual rear axle version.

It's the larger junker buggy (transport version I think it's called).

Ok, so, my fluff-Fu is weak and this may contradict cannon, but here goes:

Cydonian 9th - Red Horse Brigade "The Knights of Cydonia"

The plains of Cydonia. Once the billet of some of the finest, boldest, noblest to ever serve in the Guard.

Loyal to the end, they stayed thus: to the warmaster Horus.

Only the 9th remained true to the emperor. And now, only the 9th survive.

They are the Red Horse brigade: going into the most extreme of warzones, to mend, to build, to support; to live and fight and die in the emperor's name, and erase the scar of their history.

Their deeds have earned them, over time, another name: the Knights of Cydonia.

Remarkably, once I do the other ogrun, the 9th are largely built - on to painting (only 9 months in!)
