The best proposed tactic I have heard of so far in regards to warriors losing EW is "target saturation"... it involves having so many melta-vulnerable targets that no list could possibly contain enough meltas for them all... and I think this list looks like it might play into that well! That is a lot of 3 wound troops. Regular SM players that don't overdo the meltas are seriously going to be feeling the pain from this one. Watch out for battle cannon templates though... those are going to hurt. I get the feeling nids are going to be hard up going against the current IG lists.

I was going to go more warrior heavy, but i decided that ravs would be more help at times.
With claws they stand a chance at armour, so if i am facing battle cannons it will be a case of DS in and go for the as soon as i can.

Failing that, ill sit the hives back and take shots at range.

Wanted enough troops in the army that i could bring enough bodies to the field, rather than being outnumbered by everyone lol.

Guess ill have to wait for the book so i can tweak the list and try it out a bit.

Failing that, i may go for a swarm army.

(30 termagants per choice, 6 troop choices = 180 termagants for only 900 points lol)

Hm... that would be a pain to buy and paint all those termies, but I imagine a swarm like that would be hard to stop! I guess this codex is going to do a good job of shifting the bugs back to the swarm style of play.

Could be amusing, and if you really wanted to scare people through numbers:

HQ: Alpha warrior: Deathspitter, talons - 80

Elite: Venomthrope - 55

Cant find a 40 points filler

Is there even enough synapse range to go around for all those critters?

Nah, i doubt even if bunched you would manage it, but lets face it, instinctive behaviour isnt all bad, and with that many models on the table, you can push forward if needed.

Only problem i see is ftting that lot in a deployment zone lol.

TBH, im actually thinking about gargs in my army.
They make a nice unit for dropping out the way then flying in, they are only 6 points each, and thier rules mean they can do an average amount of damage in both combat and shooting.

Eh, that many gaunts can be any worse than trying to fit in 3 guard infantry platoons with attached heavy weapon squads in a deployment zone, right?

I agree that the rumored rules for instinctive behavior are much improved. As blood angel players, we are used to the rage behavior anyway.

Gargs look pretty sweet now. I am sure they made them cheap and put in that poison rule so that their shiny new plastic boxes will sell even better, and they are probably right. I want some.

Easily
Also, dont forget that gargs are on flying bases.
Making them take up a much larger space with thier wings aswell.

I welcome it
Got nothing against units that do as they please, just aslong as i have pointed them in the right direction 1st.

They do look good, but i think they need back legs, they just seem off balance somehow lol.
Also, dont forget about people buying them for wings

£17.50 for 10 sets of wings? I'd buy them if i needed some lol.

Hi JD , i just want to say wow and oh noes on those 180 termagaunts o_o

Its very important to make movement tray for them if you want to game with them . Or else you'll literally need to shovel them in their movement phase.

Good thing they arnt homagaunts though , which they have tiny toes that snaps off all the time.

They aren't too bad if you use the really heavy stuff to base them... I used the stuff from the 40k basing kit from GW. I wouldn't have bought that kit, but I won it in a competition once and it has that crushed slate that works great for basing.
