Or, put some weight on the important part, all units marked as necrons in their dex.
Question solved. Only infantry/jetbikes has "necrons" put into their unit entry.

- no scarabs
- no monolith
- no pariah
- no tomb spider
...may benefit from the 5+ invul.

So do you also believe that Captain Sicarius' Rites of Battle does not affect Terminators, Scouts, Sergeants, Veterans, Bikers, or Scout Bikers, because they aren't Space Marine units?

There is a difference.
Codex necrons specifically calls some units "necrons" , codex space marine just generalizes that everything is
part of the Space marines.

From GW's style of reading ( remember mr ward about the marine dex and vulcan/telion... ), I may assume
my POV is correct: necron units = units with necron as special rule.
So any vehicle isnt a " necron", but still part of a necron/C'tan force.
Without vehicles, no pylon or monolith, therefore no problem.

Your way of putting the general " space marine" into the same pot than the specific necron doesnt work.
Every model in codex space marines is either a space marine or crewed by space marines.
Some models in codex necrons aren't necrons or anyhow steered/ controlled by necrons.

Actually that line of thinking doesn't really work, because parts of the Necron codex specify "models with the Necron special rule" or "with the Necron special ability" (direct quotes), and the ones say just "Necron unit" (like the monolith) specifically state which types they work for. The Pylon's ability says neither, so how are we supposed to know what "Necron" is referring to?

I believe it refers to units in the Necron codex, as they are all "Necron units," but they are not all "Necron units with the 'Necron' special rule" as pointed out already in the thread.
