This is some kick-ass Traitor Guard, I like the way you managed to integrate miniatures from different 40K series into one coherent force.

Thanks a lot this is exactly what I intended.

All right folks, I haven't been up to much 40k these times, so this blog was pretty dead but I'm now stuck in the city so most of my free is spent on my hobbies (yay?).
Here is my most recent work, a second Traitor Russ, this one will be part of a squadron of three which will be identifiable by the Dheneb Stone hatches.

This tank was bought used and had a really thick paintjob, I was able to get rid of all the paint but the primer wouldn't come off with simple green and it was pretty thick so I did my best at painting thin coats.
I have 2 other Russ's bathing in simple green that I will paint soon, and a squad of mutants I am currently repainting to a tabletop standard.
One day my army will be ready and I'll start playing 40k .

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

There is some great stuff here. I think this armys best point is the way you've mixed the squads. They really look like a gang of deserters from different forces. To make it even more diverse some steel legion would look really nice. I think the best so far are the voystrans! Could you give a small tutorial on the damage painted on this latest tank. it looks brilliant!!

Steel legion will come but atm I'm busy painting all I put on the side through the last months, when I'm done it will be veteran squads with much greenstuff then will come whatever gets my fancy (DKK Someday).

Sure, I'll do it as I'm painting the next tank.

Good job pal, on all of it.
They're much better in person though.

If your not able to get the primer off just by bathing it in simple green, scrub it with an old toothbrush while letting it soak.

That's exactly what I'm doing, it's coming off slowly.
1 of the tanks wasn't primed with something that can be removed with simple green though so I'll to be careful not to put too much paint on it since the coat is already thick enough.
I motivate myself to paint infantries by rewarding myself with the tanks, so I'll be posting some footsloggers before any Russ.

Looking sweet! Thought about weathering your russ with a sponge? it will add a great wear and tear effect to it!

My other Russ is sponge weathered and looks pretty different, I try to use different technique often to find what I really like. When I consider myself good enough I'll buy a DKK army and a new camera .

BTW Here is a couple couple of traitors I painted to be able to field my fully painted 1000 point army.

A Psyker and some rank and file guys

And 3 HW squads (Notice the vostroyans have been fully repainted) after taking the pictures I noticed I forgot the ammo vostroyan guard's lens, I'll do them soon.

Hey guys.
It's been a long time I haven't updated, and honestly it might take another while before I re-update as I'm not too sure many people read this.
Anyway here are some shots of the army in a glass cabinet.

If you guys want pictures of anything specific just say it.
