Ordnance bestows a number of benefits. You always hit Vehicles on side armour and you roll 2d6 for penetration taking the highest value and they cause pinning tests.

That is an ordnance barrage (i.e. basilisk, whirlwind) when fired indirectly. Regular ordnance weapons can still move and shoot, but will still hit the armor value they are facing (i.e. front, side, rear) and do not cause pinning.

So, I totally can;t wait to start building this. I've already got the chassis, having a Whirlwind and a Predator already. I just gotta get the Thunderfire to mount on top...

As far as building it goes... I think it would help the techmarine-ish look if you used something like these:

Beyond that the thunderfire cannon model, the gun portion and the disc that it mounts to that rotates the gun on the tracks fits perfectly on the Razorback/Predator turret collar the replaces the back hatches.
