Without spoiling things for those who haven't seen it yet: The parallel I saw was with regards to materialism. It was perhaps a lesser point in Eli than it was in Avatar, but for me it was a much more subtle and less traveled path to it.

Hi guys.
It's nice to see you do things like mulling mechanics from time to time. As much as I like the game reviews and interviews it's always fun to hear d6g throw something new in the mix.

This year I'll: try and get more boardgaming in; try to get my D&D 4 group into other RPG's like Rogue Trader; fail in that attempt; get into playing Warmachine mk2; try and find someone to play Arcane Legions with; continue toshrug indifferently at I-phones and other gadgets.

Considering Avatar. I thought it was a nice bit escapist of cinema that offered a couple of hours of solid entertainment but didn't leave much of a lasting impression.
The movie is undoubtedly overhyped but after having my eyeballs raped by michael Bay's godawful Tranfsormers movie last year I can't bring myself to dis a movie that is no way as bad as that incoherent pile of $#!*.

@ Owen
At least Pop Idol and it's successors were mildly entertaining. It was my country that spawned the worldwide broadcasted abomination Big Brother.
I never saw the US version of Red Dwarf. Why was it awful? Did it need more smeg and less smug?

As always, D6G delivers. Can't say enough good things.

Gee... I don't know what to post here anymore now that you guys did the Flames of War segment. I have nothing to complain about!

“Sanguinius. It should have been him. He has the vision and strength to carry us to victory, and the wisdom to rule once victory is won. For all his aloof coolness, he alone has the Emperor's soul in his blood. Each of us carries part of our father within us, whether it is his hunger for battle, his psychic talent or his determination to succeed. Sanguinius holds it all. It should have been his...” -- The Warmaster Horus
