I'm not personally a huge fan of sponsons, although I do like Extra Armor to keep the beast mobile. You could also tool up your CCS a bit more, maybe some close-combat ability to help keep your commander alive?
Also, guard is famous for rolling 1's with plasma weapons, then failing armour saves, so perhaps carapace and a fist for your CCS?
Other possibilities include a single scout sentinel to outflank and disrupt the enemy's rear/contest objectives, like Freddieyu does, a trio of ratling snipers as an annoying distraction infilitrated somewhere on the board (every shot fired at them or unit that assaults them is not hitting your killware) and giving meltabombs to your lieutenant (they come in very handy from time to time).

Oh hey, I just realized that the fist, and carapace would be the perfect things to spend the rest of the points in. Thanks Roderick!

Hmm I'm really begining to debate getting DKOK models...I'm pretty sure I'm going to ruin a lot of them by trying to get powerfists on them, and I'm not really sure what to do for psykers @_@

I'd go for either a sentinel, or Demos on the other vet squad and meltabombs in your blob. What if it gets charged by a sneaky or lucky walker?

whelp, you've got a priest with a 'viscii who'll carve up walkers but good, but I suppose dropping a GL somewhere or downgrading a weapon somewhere would be most worthy of putting meltabombs on your Commissar. Meltabombs utterly save the versatility of basic infantry, krak grenades less so but if they're free they're useful..

At the same time though, your demo vets *all* have meltabombs. that's some serious killware right there. if you get 'em next to a landraider or two on turn 1 or two...

Long time no chat.

Anyways I just checked, and I'm pretty sure that Comissars cannot take Meltabombs. The Sergeants can, but not the Comissars I think.
