Tau need their points to go down a bit. FWs are great, but a few points overcost for what they are. Kroot need a better statline (And IMO, either Fleet or the option to use their Kroot Rifle as an assault weapon. They're meant to be assaulty, but they can't shoot and assault) and a cheaper or better Shaper - maybe one with a power weapon, or something that improves the squad as a whole as opposed to just +1 LD, 2 extra wounds and 2 extra attacks in CC. The 6 save is utterly worthless against most armies, although Nids do now have a fair amount of AP - weaponry.
Stealth suits also need a serious points reduction. They're cool, but they are not worth 30 points a model. If they came with a really nice gun and a better statline, maybe, but the 30 points basically buys a burst cannon, a 3+ save (Which a Crisis Suit gets for less) and the stealth generator, which is only slightly more useful than the shrouding on a GK. Sure, it's neat to have a mobile vehicle-popping unit, but a single Broadside has a better chance of staying alive long enough to pop several vehicles.

Whilst that is quite masterful trolling, have you considered that some of us non-weeaboos play Tau because we like their play-style (mobile & shooty, but not ridiculously fragile like Eldar or insanely numerous like IG)?
Granted, the main reason I play Tau is because I like the look of the Devilfish and Hammerhead tanks, but I'm not an anime nut, nor a video games person. My limit with Japanese culture is, for better or worse, a good sushi bar.
Wow, hat's off to you. I was about to take the bait until I read your post.

Kroot should automatically have a 6+ save, with the option to buy down to a 5+ ala Orks.
Kroot Hounds should be considered Beasts.
Fix some of the wargear, of course.
Drone squads should be Fearless.
Allow every crisis suit in a squad to take the same Special Issue wargear (not weapons or support systems, just wargear).
Different codices (or at least different rules) for each of the different Tau septs (not gonna happen, I know. One can dream, though...)
Give Farsight a stimulant injector.
Crisis suits and Broadsides should have BS 4.
I know the Tau are a shooty army, but more assault options wouldn't hurt, like giving crisis suits a power weapon equivalent.
Let crisis suits take grenades (worthless as they are...)
All I can think of for now.

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake. |

If people want to make serious suggestions about how to revise the Tau units there are some long-running threads in Proposed Rules which would be a better place to post your ideas.
Also, don't use the term anime fan, it is banned as a insult.
Lastly, I am starting to get fed up with people saying armies they don't personally happen to like should be squatted from the game. It is a pointless troll remark and could be said about any of the armies in 40K.

I dont know the names of the monstous creatures of forge world for tau but I was thinking that it would be a great idea if one of those big and small kroot monsters were in the normal game or at least a one of the medium ones?

Given the GW habit for making new "must have" kits, I'd say it's fairly likely that you will see a greater gnarloc in the next codex.
-marker lights need a change to make them a wee bit more effective. I always feel like I'm throwing away point when I put BS3 enablers on the table for a minimum of... 146 points?
-Please make kroot more than just a speed bump. Increases in initiative would be welcome over just about anything else.
-Firewarriors are at their price point right now: 10 points in a guard army gets you a 4+ save and a flashlight. I think we have a good deal.
-Slight points break for the devilfish in keeping with dedicated transports from other codex updates
-The ability to mount markerlights on more vehicles? Maybe? Possibly? Could be overpowered...
-Following the tradition of incorporating small apocalypse units for fun and PROFIT: the barracuda as a fast skimmer... or something similar.
-Major points break on the piranha: it currently blows
-Something useful in return for the completely expected (and total) disruption pod nerf. Either a MAJOR price break on vehicles or a multiple smoke launcher or something, anything!
Now, this might all be completely useless. If we get a normal codex writer then we'll be fine and some of these issues will most likely be addressed. If we get Cruddance... Tau will become a mobile assault army. Just sayin'.

i seriously want a cc weapon for tau: crisis suits if anything need at least 1 cc weapon. i really don't care if itz special issue or not, because i'd use it. whatz the point of having strength 5 when you don't have any weapons to smack something around with?

I'd say drop down the price of the Devilfish for one. Too expensive points-wise.
I agree with the Target Priority stuff. No longer applicable in 5th Ed.
Making Flamers as CC power weapons is a good idea. Acts like a welder's torch.
Make Vespid lower points, better armor save, or SOMETHING to make em worthwhile.
Kroot? I like how they get enhanced saves in cover, fits nice with their fluff. I don't use em because I would rather pay 3 pts more and get a Firewarrior with 30 inch gunrange and standard armor save.

Oh Goody another "fix tau" thread. If nothing else this shows that many people think they need something.
Pathfinders have BS4 = More effective markerlight drops.
Firewarriors ok as is but with the addition of heavy weapons options. Maybe an elite FW unit to compete with suits, suits, suits.
Ditto to shapers with power weapon options and some kind of CC weapon for suits to at least make them suck less in CC.
My dream for crisis units:
Pts: ?
WS/3 BS/4 S/4 T/4 W/1 I/4 A/2 Ld/9
Standard: burst cannon.
Example:
Type A: Assault
Squad size: 3 + 'ui x/pts.
Buy up to 3 additional suits for x pts.
Any suit may replace its BC for a flamer and CC weapon for free.
'ui may exchange bc for a fusion blaster or plasma rifle plus comes equipped with CC weapon. May exchange CC weapon for PW for +10 pts
|
Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

I don't NEED the things I posted, bu I wouldn't mind if they were available. If not, I'll use what I got.
I really don't want Firewarriors with Heavy Weapons cause that goes against how the Tau play. Every unit supports each other to accomplish the overall goal.

Well, i'd think that making markerlights cause an army wide effect on the target would be the simplest improvement given all the other disadvantages tau currently have.
+1 BS on target for the entire army, etc
