I see no reason, whatsoever, for this in a Space Marine army.

Claiming it's for a "bike themed army" doesn't mean that it automatically precludes the usage of Rhino chassis vehicles. Rhinos ARE actually pretty damned fast from what I recall. Probably even faster than the Tauros.

What are you talking about? I saw this model and thought it would look great in a bike themed SM army and came up with some rules. You don't like it, then don't use it. Honestly, when I asked for constructive criticism, I was hoping for something other than, "I don't like it. Bleh!"

You used a fluff justification for it in a SM army.
I'm using a fluff justification for why I think it's silly to add yet MORE to Space Marine armies when they're already tooled up to the gills with the most advanced kit possible.

As an aside, why not name it the Carnodon?
Screw using terrestrial animals. Go into some of the 40k fiction for animals. Carnodons are supposed to be fast predators which hunt in packs.

Sounds like it'd fit the bill for this.

I think if you're going to go the fictional creature route it should have some significance with a marine chapter.

So it's a fast, mobile weapons platform that can carry heavy weapons. To be honest, the role it performs is too similar to the Attack Bike and Land Speeder, you need to differentiate it.

How about using it as some kind of mobile, long range artillery unit? You could give it a Typhoon Missile Launcher, Whirlwind multiple missile launcher or Plasma cannon upgrades, plus a special rule that let's it fire without LOS, similar to the Hive Guard. Most bike armies suffer against horde, this unit would go a long way to remedy this.

Also, I think Tauros Attack Bike would be an awesome name!

Looks really, really easy to kill. Too expensive for the points. Nice idea, though.
