Voted no. 3. Their models are awful.

HMMMM, would definatly do some band-wagon jumpage, BUT that would depend of the book.

I wouldn't collect them, but I would be fascinated to see the new models/fluff/rules/strategy. Personally, I've only faced DE twice, they're pretty rare around here. But a match against a new 'evil' codex would always get me interested.

They seem cool.. But the models are very feh. You might as well just use regular eldar and paint them scary.

I play Dark Elves in fantasy and am waiting for the DE codex release to start playing 40k!

No other army really appeals to me.

I'm interested, but only for the sake of variety, both in the model range and in the armies I'm likely to see/play against. I have no plans on starting a new army and there are others I'd pick up before DE, whether they get updated or not.

Slightly interested in terms of fluff, but I already play Dark Elves in WHFB, so I'll be staying away from the Evil Black Clad Space Elves.

Slightly interested.
I'll read the fluff to see where they fit in, but have no interest in starting them, Jes Goodwin sculpts or not.
(I have space restrictions. Starting a new army means selling off or otherwise getting rid of one of my other 4 - and I like them all much more than DE can be.)

I'm very interested in a new codex for the DE. Have a few of the good looking models (cause that's all there is in the current line sadly), so decent looking models and it looks like SM are on the back burner haha.

Definitely interested.
Really the only things stopping me from having DE now are:
1) I don't get money very often.
2) I don't want to build an army that could forseeably be changed within the next month.

I've always thought that DE had some of the best models in 40k, but their rules are just so bad that I could not justify playing them. I have plenty of them from the 3rd edt starter set (like 60 warriors with some hero conversions).

The worst part about DE in my opinion is that the 'get you by' list from the 3rd edt rule book is almost as up to date as the last codex.

40k: - Cadian 231st, Death Guard, Sisters, Dark Eldar Iyanden, Scythes of the Emperor

WHFB Armies: High Elves, Empire, WoC, Beastmen, Lizardmen, Dark Elves, Vampires

Meh,still waiting for an entirely new model range, and some sort of massive overhaul on rules. Get rid of the Talos, give them something that can be used in spearhead, give a decently customisable HQ unit, add something to the basic troop that actually works now,and better overall options and maybe I'll play

While I agree they need an update I could care less when it is. I think there are more important lines that need the updating.

One of my first games was against Dark Eldar. They crushed me so utterly it wasn't funny. I don't know if the guy was cheating or not, and I don't remember the game that well, but I do remember leaving with a severe dislike of Dark Eldar. I admit I am looking at this from a fuzzy perspective, and would have to check their rules again to verify my own opinion, but at the time I felt like they were extremely broken. I had no interest in ever playing against them again.
