So... Despite the rules saying the exact same thing, you are willing to agree with a GW House rule but not the actual rules?

Yeah just read that. Cheers that puts it to bed
I thought that would be the case and knew it certainly should be the case just couldn't find where it said it.
Gwar actually following an FAQ over RAW that has to be a first! Automatically Appended Next Post: So... Despite the rules saying the exact same thing, you are willing to agree with a GW House rule but not the actual rules?
You still haven't shown were the rules say this. Which I presume means you know they don't...

Ok, Firstly, Stop putting words in my mouth. I have NEVER EVER EVER said that I Ignore GW FAQS wholesale. I Ignore them where they contradict Clear RaW, that is it. Where they clarify a genuinely ambiguous rule or affirm RaW, I have no problem with them. Guess what, this FAQ affirms the RaW! So... Despite the rules saying the exact same thing, you are willing to agree with a GW House rule but not the actual rules?

Actually, we have, multiple times. Try reading the thread you made eh?

Actually, we have, multiple times. Try reading the thread you made eh? I have read the thread jbunny's FAQ entry is the only one that addresses the questions I've asked. You have not come up with a rule that allows you to attack the retinue seperately from the BRB (because there isn't one). Retinues are not ICs therefore you can't use the IC rules. The retinue in this instance is not a seperate unit so you can not use the multiple assault rules (they are totally irrelevant). So what "rules" are you using other than the FAQ?

The Tau codex allows a Tau Commander to take drones and still be an IC and join a different unit. The drones still count as models of his unit, and affect his morale when lost.
Shortly after the Tau 4e codex came out I sent an A4 page of a dozen or so questions related to drones to GW. One or two of them were answered in the 4e FAQ.
Since drones were never properly thought out and clarified in the 4e rules, it is hopeless to expect them to work easily and simply in the 5e rules.

Since this seems to be answered, I'm going to lock it.
If anyone feels the need to discuss it further, feel free to start another thread without the name-calling and snide remarks telling each other to read the rulebook.
