Not bad at all. I like the color scheme( Im been painting my Griffons for over a year now)
What color red are you using?? and are you usiing a Black ink/ wash over them all??
Try using a brown ink/wask mix with some Orange wash....
It gives them a nice muddy hue to them and highlights them very nicly.
IF you need Icons, let me know i can show you were you can print them out and make your own.

If anyone could discribe how to go about highlighting a howling griffon it would be appericiated.

As of now i have one member of my command squad already quartered so im ready to go.

ok Here one pic of a Dread back in the day when i was doing washes on them then highlighting

the auto cannon is the base color(sunlight yellow) and the red is Clotted red( both are reaper paints)

I made a wash up of Orange(7part) Red(1part), Brown(2 parts) which will give you a good rusty base color. then you can add white, or yellow, green, and more brown too give it more depth. white will lighten the color, yellow will brighten the color , green, will give it more of a dirty, rusted looked, Brown will darken the yellow and red to a dusty look..

then just hightlight riasied surface with a lemon yellow( reaper color) and red( with a base of Orange over purple is perfered by me but you might want a purple base red)

Then dry brushlightly with a white.....

Just a small update, ive got 3 models painted and the rest primed so heres the pics.

Good to see you making progress on the army. And I did pretty much the same thing. About 5k worth of mahreens assembled, undercoated and now I'm finally getting around to painting them all lol. >_<

Well long time no update.For the past month or so my life has been taken over by the show "The Mighty Boosh."

So i havent really worked on my models that much, but i have goten a new board done.

Plans for the future: I plan on buying "The Sanguinor, Exemplar of the Host" and the "Sangunary guard" some time in the near future to use as a Jump Pack Chapter Master and a squad of jump pack honor guard.

So this will proably turn into a jump pack army.

Honour Guard can't be equipped with jump packs.

Yes i relize that but i do not agree do with friendly games ill just pay an extra 10-20 pts,

were as in competive games they will just be a command squad for my captian.
