Your opinion is based on what again? I see a multiple alarm building on fire. I see a narrowly avoided mass casualty event. If the plane hits full on in the lower floors and does that whole fireball thing, everyone is trapped in, well, a fireball.
Gas fireballs don't go through walls very well and only one person is currently reported missing, though that number could certainly rise, and injuries are likely.
What are we arguing exactly?

The real question is, how long until conspiracy theorists postulate that this was all done by Obama?
I'm going to go with 10 minutes.

Naw Orkeo.
I think most conspiracy theorists were liberals who hated Bush.
This won't be conspiracy theorized because 37% of the country loves Obama and the other 63% can find too many other faults with him to declare he was behind it.

I can hardly wait for the media to try and make this guy out as a Right wing nut job... except he was pro-healthcare and anti-Bush. Don't imagine they'll mention that part.

This anti government zeal from both sides has got to stop. If people hate laws so much there are plenty of lawless places to live. And if you hate the rich getting richer, quit voting rich people in who only care about getting richer. Hell this guy had a job, thats more than a lot of people.

I don't hate laws. I hate self interested politicians that raid the public coffers to ensure themselves positions of power. I hate spending programs put in place to do nothing other than to buy votes. I hate government handouts that instill reliance in government instead of self-reliance.
I don't hate the rich, nor do I hate them getting richer if it's done by honest means. I hate crooks. I hate them from the common thief to the backroom earmark deal making vote whore in Washington.
Kudos to the dead wacko for having a job though. Without condoning what he did, I understand it to some degree. The government in general and the IRS in particular can be maddening.

I have not been posting here in OT for a while because there are people here that piss me the feth off with their "superior knowledge" and judgmental accusations while they berate random strangers That they do not, or cannot, agree with, but I am going to weigh in on this. I have over 50 friends and coworkers that work in our sister office, 2.5 miles away from the incident. Some of your jokes seem to be funny to you because you may live far away, or even in a different country, but for me this was only an Ethernet connection away from people I work with every day.
I really empathize with this man. I think we all can to a certain extent. Who hasn't made bad decisions with money? Who hasn't been given the run around by people who could help? Who hasn't been offered help by those that could do something, only to be screwed over when they found out that their savior was a snake, only looking after themselves?
I had to pay child support for my daughter I feed, clothed and played with every day simple because I wasn't officially married and my wife had food stamps. I was branded a non-custodial father and no matter what I did, I couldn't get the state to knowledge me in any other way. The debt accrued and I was forced to pay $14,000 in back child support, on top of paying for my daughter's cloths, diapers, food, etc...
The funny thing is that a month later, my wife would get the money back, with a small piece taken out to line the governments pockets. Despite all of my protest, the insisted on laundering my own money through them and taking out a fee to do so. When I stopped doing this, (as the man said in his letter, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again...) they garnished my wages. Then they took money from my bank account. Now I could not pay my bills, they took more money than I had. They raided my checking account and took the actual balance, even though the available balance was about $200 less, and I still had transactions pending. I then got slammed with 7 overdraft charges.
We got married that same day. All of this nonsense ended, and I got most of my money back. That is the point the poor, confused and possibly deranged man was trying to make. Justice and freedom are illusions. Much like Neo discovering that the Prophecy is just another form of control.

Gak, that is why are national debt is half of our Gross Domestic Product. A debt that my daughters' children will still be paying, with interest on top of inflation.
The man was right. Something needs to change, or the fragile house of cards is going to collapse. The only thing I don't agree with is what he did to be heard.
That was just plain wrong.

that's why we have the power of vote.we have nobody to blame but ourselves for the people in power. I don't understand what the dead whako did at all. you think you have been treated unfairly? So do lots of other people. Think the government isn't working right? well one side or the other will always feel that way in a two party system. Taxes don't seem fair to you? look around at al the things taken for granted, then visit a 3rd world country. Protest, be an informed voter, run for office.
Don't burn down you house with wife and kids inside and ram a plane into a building of people. Then call yourself a patriot after what happened in 9/11. then say violence is the only answer.
That's just BS BS BS BS and more BS.
I'm mad at the American government so I'm going to ram a plane into a building, just like a terrorist, but I'm a patriot.

I hate to hear this sad tale and other sad tales. People go to jail all the time for crimes they didn't commit.
Hell us minorities get blamed for everything from this ressesion to gay rights not being passed in Cali.
My Uncle blames the white man, and my father in law says the white man in the new powerless minority. Dems blame repubican, and tebaggers blame everything.
Nobody ever looks and asks themselves (if they too bear some of the blame.

I'm guessing there were certain irregularities in the finance involved. Not that I can say that for certain, as its not even immediately clear that these guys tried to set up a religious organization.

As to the matter of opinion, I would have to agree with dogma on this.
People get screwed over all the time, taking a plane and slamming it into a building doesn't freaking solve anything. Hell, the guy had a goddam plane, I really don't feel any pity for him.
sexiest_hero wrote:Nobody ever looks and asks themselves (if they too bear some of the blame.
I have to disagree with you about that in general. From what I can see (and there are studies on this), U.S. citizens take more than their fair share of the blame. It becomes a system of unsustainable self reliance, based on ideological concepts, that basically boil down to building your own house with your own hands. This nation is not your house, you are not individually responsible for much of anything other than obeying the law, and paying your taxes. It is cute to assume that the loudest and profusely media-highlighted sections of our society, actually make up a large majority of our culture as a whole.
Take a complaint to a government office, and try to get lucky, or know people that work there. Besides that, you are in for a long haul, that can easily span decades if you choose to take action yourself. Most people do not have that kind of dedication, or plainly speaking, time on their hands to accomplish such time intensive goals.
Blaming people for blaming people, is no better than doing nothing at all.

The method of the attack and the suicide note make this interesting, but there were probably worse traffic accidents today. People like being on TV.

So THATS why I'm addicted to toothpaste. I eat like 2 tubes a day.
I also hate paying taxes but I'm not about to fly my personal Cessna into the IRS building. It's a waste of a perfectly good plane. It also cost me $29.95 at Walmart. It is 1:72nd scale.
