I like vallejo for airbrushing and GW for painting, the foundation/washes are very very good as well

If GW did there paints in dropper bottles i would airbrush with them instead

p.s. dropper bottles FTW!

I use both pretty interchangebly. I think the previous poster had it right - you're not missing anything special about Vallejo if you're using GW paints. GW paints are top notch. I AM replacing my GW stuff with Vallejo though. It's not that I'm dissappointed with GW stuff, but rather the Vallejo is cheaper and I GREATLY prefer the dropper-style bottle (I'm so sick of "glued on" screw caps and broken pop tops it's not even funny). Only disadvantage I'm seeing is you can't really thin the paint directly in the Vallejo bottles like you can the GW pots, but I like the consistancy as it comes so no problem there yet.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Observations on complex unit wound allocation: If you're feeling screwed, your opponent is probably doing it right.

Also consider the only people who's opinion actually matter are those who have used both, which we have no way of verifying. I said Vallejo. It's probably my imagination but it seems to coat better.

It does and it doesn't. Some Vallejo paints have AMAZING coverage and are the best things I've ever used(looking at you Olive Grey)--while others make me feel like a kindergartner finger-painting a model for all the good they do.

Of course, the same can be said for some Games Workshop paints...

Vallejo paints are TERRIBLE for airbrushing, unless you're using Vallejo Model Air.
The amount of thinner required to take a Vallejo paint to airbrushing consistency is ridiculous. Hell, even VMA colors require a bit of thinner to really get good coverage.

p.s. Testor's sells large packs of empty paint pots(which include labels for the tops) and pipettes for exact measurements.

For airbrushing, invest in these.
