I need to hurry up and paint my army so that it becomes untargetable.

Honestly though, I play by the most unscientific and anti-RAW sentiment that if it's a part of the model and not "decorative", then it becomes valid for LOS. Wings, Jetpacks, Tenser's floating disk, whatever. You fly with that jetpack, I can shoot it. If you argue that the wings on my Valkyrie can be hit as part of the hull, then why can't infantry who fly with wings be hit?

And anyway if you're using a deamon prince with wings or similar MC you're just being cowardly to hide it and say "no you cant shoot him you can only see his wings, the rest of him's behind the tree"

I see you're point but why should marine assault squads be allowed to be on the ground and therefore short enough to hide behind some terrain that seraphim cant?

You go so far as to post a dictionary definition and then, presumably, ignore it as it doesnt actually fit what you are saying? PLease point out where the dictionary states it includes any coverings.....oh look, it doesnt!

Ah, so when it says "body" (I had been using trunk, in case you missed it) you assume it means "body, with anything covering that body including 6" thick ceramite plates, cooling systems, probes"? That is the only way it "fits into" the definition. Oh, and where are these "rules" that define what the word means? Or are you just making yet more unsupported by anything, rules or otherwise, statements?

I will try and make it clearer for you one more time. Like I said, in the context of the game that we play that involves little plastic figures that we assemble and use in the game, and in the context of the rules (regarding only heads, torsos, arms, and legs counting for LOS) that apply to said game, the definition of torso is whatever plastic (or metal) piece that you attach a head, arms, and legs to. Depending on your race, your torso could be human, Ork, Tau, Tyranid, power-armored, etc., and depending on all the myriad modeling/converting options there are, whatever counts as your torso could be fleshy, bony, metallic, etc., and therefore, a torso is whatever plastic piece you attach your head, arms, and legs to. It is as simple as that, so we can just agree to disagree or we can keep repeating the same things over and over.

Note that I stated I would give you the CENTRAL PIECE

Which is whatever you attach your head, arms, and legs to, which is a torso...

which has the jump pack attached

...and another piece you have identified as a jump pack, and not the torso (or "central piece" as you call it.) So two seperate pieces, only one of which is a torso.

Central piece. Torso. Middle section. Trunk. It still means the same if it is the piece that you attach a head, arms, and legs to. But of course you know this, you just don't want to admit it, and you will continue to argue it until you are blue in the face.

Your absurd position, illogical and idiotic argument and inabilty to read other posts fits the definition of troll nicely.

Lol. You crack me up! You really do!

So, to summarise, people's opinions vary as to which parts of their toy soldiers constitute the 'body' ...

I'm going to lock this one now, as the tone here has been getting progressively more hostile.
