It's the same on the savage orc, the walking orc warlord, and the chaos marauder character. They all have the same pose and same unnatural anatomy.

Sorry, I can't say it bothers me all that much. Could be because I lack the detailed knowledge of anatomy. Or possibly because other companies' miniatures are even worse.

Or that they are fantasy races...

How many orc cadavers have you studied in the medical degree dumbuket?

Once again, awsome. They do make the best heroes AOW do. And that Beastmen hero is mine now .

Although, I expect AOW does have sme tie's to Gee-Dub, because oherwise they'd have been C&D' of the face of the known universe.

Felix Panigua, main sculptor and founder of Avatars of War worked for GW for a short time, but he left. Well, I don't know if he left the job or if he was fired, but whatever, he doesn't work for them anymore. After leaving GW, he created Avatars of War. For GW he did things like this dwarf lord:

I don't remember exactly what other minis he sculpted.

The AoW minis are awesome. Even knowing that not all minis are sculpted by him, they are great. Check their website if you want to know what minis are made by Felix and what for the other guys. http://www.arena-deathmatch.com/onlineshop/onlineshop.php

In the top of each pic, just under the name of the mini, there is a line saying who is the author.

What has GW put out recently that's his?

Certainly not anything in the Beastmen line...

Maybe he did sculpt the beastmen line ... as an act of revenge.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

He's done a really good job of finding other sculptors who match his style, so the range stays consistent.

Seeing as I didn't even know this - that's very, very true...

He's got an AWESOME stable of sculptors over there then!

Totally agree. The Beastman hero kicks ass. I thought it was a Felix's sculpt until I checked the web a couple of hours ago, when I pasted here the link.

Coincidentally that happens to be my favorite Dwarf sculpt. I don't play or collect Dwarfs, but I bought that one just for the looks of the model.

Felix also sculpted a good chunk of the Trolls for Hordes and I think the Merc Trollkin Boomhowler for Warmachine.

Hi!

I was reading the thread and couldn't resist to pop in and say a big thank you for your comments regarding AoW and some of the figures I have sculpted!

Cheers!
