Duh, didn't you guys get the memo? If a list isn't on YTTH it sucks!

There is also the fact that people just do not know how to play against his list. My main army is SoB and I run into that a lot because opponents are not totally aware of the army's strengths and weaknesses.
On a related note I have read most of Blackmoor's reps and I still don't get how this list works, it is definitely subtle...well other than the Fortuned Avatar!
Edit: Thinking about the list as a whole, it seems to me taking out the Avatar (I know 4++ with Fortune usually) is the key to beating it. This breaks the fearless bubble. I wonder how much the list will suffer with more psyker defenses coming into play.

Mafty, the batreps you have posted are decent, I am not quite clear what your problem is here - does it somehow offend you that someone posted a batrep that they lost? Or that they play eldar different than you? Basically, you are just kind of coming across as a bit of a d-bag which I am fairly certain is not your point.
actually if you read my first post it was offering constructive critisism, to which someone made a smart ass remark which made zero sense. Play eldar however you want, there isnt "one" army build that works, while there certainly arent many that do work though. If i come across as a douche than I guess people take the internet as serious business, which it isnt. Ive tried many things with eldar, ive seen what works and doesnt work, and im tired of the internet preaching garbadge.
Anyways, I dont have a problem with Blackmoor (although he wont play me now even though I dont know you), but I also live no where near Chicago either, but even if I did apparently we couldnt arrange something
Maybe adepticon will show better results for the foot sloggers..........Ill gladly eat my words then

Yeah, I was surprised for your vehemence about the crappiness of his list. I have enjoyed reading your eldar batreps - I am in the early phases of eldar myself and would rather play something closer to what you run that what blackmoor runs.

Foot eldar is more fun to play than full-out mech IMO, and I've played a lot against a list similar to Blackmoors tourney-winning one, and it is deceptivly hard.
When are the rest of the reports coming? Looking forward to nr 4-5

the 2 judged scored me a 5 and a 6,
That's too high, since you had the no-brainer Eldrad and Avatar.

what? this guy got his ass handed to him by a mediocre space wolf build, what do you want me to comment on? its a gakky eldar list, im sick of fanboys preaching how great foot eldar is. Id LOVE to play this list with my mech eldar (seriously, except I dont live in LA, or anywhere near LA).
tell you how smart i am..........hmmm no fire dragons in 1850.....there was 1 land raider, what damage did he do to that LR? oh thats right nothing.
If you think foot eldar are a viable build (i imagine you read BOLS and think that eldar article was fantastic though hahah), than your delusional. foot eldar isnt viable, any competent build will spank it, and this bat rep proves that point.
Wow, Mafty. How could this report piss you off this much? Seriously?
There are a few of us playing foot eldar, winning, and having fun. I run a similar list (no avatar/eldarad). It loses rarely (maybe once in my initial battle against the new guard). Is my competition as stiff as Blackmoor's, no way but I'm also positive I'm not the player he is so I think the list helps my win/loss. It's a decent list and from what I've played and it sounds like others are having success. I don't get how guys like you can get on your soapbox and scream that we *aren't* winning with foot eldar and need to shelve these armies.
You make no sense.
ps. So the LR didn't get destroyed, was it an objective? I missed that part

The comment was made less than 3 months ago. Unless you commented 6 months before the tournament, and 2 months before you joined Dakka.

Yeah, I didn't catch the date until after I submitted. I was reading all the posts on other blogs and linking form there (blackmoor linked to here within the last day or so). Your name was attached to this very subject only a couple of days ago. I had assumed this was connected to all that as I hadn't seen your name anywhere before two/three days ago.
My apologies (again) for raising the dead, but still sticking to my points.

It was my fault for the necromancy.
I ended up writing the last 2 batreps 3 months after the tournament and linking the first 3 games for some context.

Thanks. I knew what went wrong the moment it happened. It is my role as a player to not let it happen, and I slipped up. I was too scared of the scouts, and no scared enough about the rest of the army.
