Sounds quite feasible. Aka, are you confirming that a model is planned, or are you offering an educated guess?

This is what I was told by someone who used to work for GW and is still in contact with people in the preverbial "inner circle" of GW. He's been wrong in the past, but only really with the "when" and "how" something will happen and not so much the "if". For example, he mentioned to me the "Spearhead" expansion back in January, but he spoke of it as a book not the Internet/White Dwarf article breakdown GW seems to be going with. He blames it on "marketing."

More on topic...

The model was scrapped, doesn't mean its rules are as well. Its probably just treated as a Storm Raven variant now.

I think its a shame the Storm Eagle's scrapped. I really get the fealing that GW was trying to make it upto FW by calling theirs the Storm Raven, which definitely leans more in FW's Ravenguard direction for this IA. My guess will be that the FW may simply do some variants of the Storm Raven specifically for Ravenguard. For example trading out the Twin-linked assault cannons on the Storm Raven with Twin-linked lascannons like the Storm Eagle was originally going to have. Maybe some other bombs or missiles to choose from.

I was really hoping FW would do a variant of the Storm Eagle that turned the two big troop bays into missile pods, since the aesthetic of the transport space really mirror the Whirlwind's missile pods. Alas, the dream is gone.

Does anyone out there have the concept art for the Storm Eagle? I can only seem to find the picture that was closest to the mock-up.

Thats the first art work from the land raider box.

Most likely as you say the storm raven will be released with the new expansion.

The picture also has flying missiles. Doesn't mean that the next space marine tank will have springs inside the guns so you can "shoot" little plastic sticks at your opponent.

Just because something appears in a drawing doesn't mean there is a model going to be released.

I'm curious as to the difference between the "Storm Eagle" and the "Storm Raven"? Obviously there's this picture from the open day, but I've not heard anything so I'm a bit confused.

That thing was kinda slowed looking anyways, 2 deploy hatches???? so unrealistic, why not one big deploy hatche and focus more on the size of the wings???? and add some noticeable engines??

Probably because the intention isn't for a "fighter/bomber" but an alternative delivery system to the Drop Pods?
One of the original mentions they gave when revealing the design sketches was that the intent of the "Storm Eagle" is for it to be flown in at high speed by an *actual pilot* who can react if it comes under fire(Drop Pods have basic evasion, but are predictable as to be expected with an AI behind the wheel)--with the pilot basically performing a controlled crash into the target and deploying the ramps after launching frags/smokes over the area.
