Theyre a second founding chapter form the Emprahs personal lapdogs. They got a full 3rd of the Imperial Fists origional equipment. They had it around

Maybe it's self-inflicted penance for letting his chapter get explodeded? I don't know if Chapter Masters can retire, but if he gets himself killed they'll have to replace him. Perhaps even with somebody who knows the difference between an Ork horde and his own chapter monastery..?

HE didn't fire the missile. HE didn't let it get 'explodeded' because HE couldn't do anything to stop incompetent missile firers firing it.
