The Best thing to do here would be to play around with the Space Marine Painter if you want to crate your own chapter. If you know what kind of army you want to build, it may fit that characteristics of a certain established chapter.

Ultramarines use a much lighter blue, and a darker color of gold, I figured the dark blue would provide a mysterious and almost menacing feel to a Space Marine army, while the bright gold would compliment the model with elegance.

While the colors are similar, they give off a completely different feel.

Dark Hands look cool, but also look at the fluff for each chapter and pick one based off of your play style (if you like tanks, Aurora would be a good choice, if you like fire, salamanders obviously). It's all up to you, but be sure to post pics of your chapter.
