This is my Heldrake kit bash. I took various ideas that I liked the looks of from other conversions and piled them all into mine. I bought a Maulerfiend when it came out and the only thing it ever did was get blown up. So instead of retiring it I added a ton of bitz and turned it into a Heldrake. I threw on the Stonehorn's head and some Chimera wings, then mounted him on some ruins. The head is a little bulbous on his neck, but I'll think of some way to make it look more natural. All and all, not bad for something done pretty quick and dirty.

The only CSMs I've painted, finished last week (apart from backpack and base) as a test for my Iron Warriors as I don't care much for Khorne. Wanted to keep them bright and shiny so they'd stand out but might darken the wash for the next lot.

Not really apart of my army just a project I did recently.

Edit: He is the first of a four part project. Each of the chaos lords on a demonic mount. I'm finishing the colors on the Tzeentch Sorceror on a disc. I've got to prime and paint my Slaneesh lord on a hellstrider. And I need to assemble the juggernaught lord.

well let's see here..

miserable picture, bad paintjob, but I'm thrilled with what i did to these guys:
that weird yellow smudge on the one guy at his pistol is actually OSL Yellow plasma gun... the best OSL for yellow I've managed to achieve to date, which isn't even that great...
I love these guys for the way they turned out, making the bits purchases and saving up parts very well worth it. Not to mention they're not particularly great on the tabletop, but the volume of fire they attract lets other things go unmolested, all simply because of how these models look.

then I went and got my vehicles on the cheap. Both of these started their lives in a rhino box before becoming something greater.

The two las-cannons are actually the old metal las-cannons from the cadian sentinel. I was THRILLED to find a use for them, so while boring.... they're still here, because two poses worked really well on the shrunken lascannon (which is actually to space marine size)

lastly are these fellows:
the fat bugger in too much red is a iron warriors khorne terminator.
the rest of the non-ultramarines are the special weapons for my thousand sons sorceror army. pictured are 3 flamers, 2 plasma, and 1 variable
the ones I find particularly interesting are the two floaters and the dude in the middle throwing fire. His robes are even burnt!

Okay, I'll play.

For my ROC Iron Warriors, I made this Chaos Sorcorer.

The army I actually intend to use though is a Nurgle warband by the name of the Plague Dogs. Here's one of their Plague Marines.

And their HQ, Plaguelord Raoh

I really wish I could get a good picture of him that takes in all of the details I added to him.

Seen you post that sor before. I'm still having a hard time accepting its a GW model, doesn't look like part of their line, and it's pretty good looking

Those are still need the final touchup and their bases but i really like how they are looking. This is the style my custom slaanesh warband will have once i start painting again. But currently i just like converting, sculpting and scratchbuilding too much. (Link in my signature if you wanto to see more of that.)

Those are some of my older highly converted marines and will probably serve as champions in my army.
