yeah, i saw those on ebay and would love to get some but i'm going with a different theme for my "counts as space wolves" preheresy world eaters.

I'll probably be posting a different thread next time as our work now revolves more and more around different mythicast products. They dropped their old distributor and shipping partners and are now distributing their own products with the help of a private shipping company. The wolves are still with them but I did manage to borrow a camera long enough to take pictures of a spore pod we just finished painting. I know it has nothing to do with thunderwolves but please bear with me. as soon as I get most of our work done I'll be happy to post more. In a different thread of course that shows you our work as a whole and not just the thunderwolves.

Here's a picture of our spore pod (as you may have seen it in the store). The colors, as leviatan themes go, will take a bit of work, leech purple, tentacle pink, salmon pink (vallejo equivalents would do as well), salmon pink + bleach bone, salmon pink + bleach bone + skull white. I would suggest you try blending colors as well, you can do this by beginning the next layer while the previous one hasn't totally dried up yet. It will give you a more gradual look.



Painting the carapace and bone bits is important to give the spore pod more definition. (Photo below) Streaks of Leach purple, then leach purple + skull white give it a more traditional tyranid feel. As for the scything talons, I would suggest using streaking motions with red gore + black on crevices. (pardon the photo, we really should get a better camera)



I hope you guys still keep posted. I promise to upload all the thunder wolf stuff as soon as we get them back. A new thread that features more of our work in general will be posted soon.
