I've always been lucky with jobs, for the most part I have enjoyed them and when they have gotten to the point I didn't want to be there any more I have always managed to find other things easily enough.
Having said that there was a brief time between leaving school and joining the Army, when I did a succession or Gakky jobs including delivering mail in a large office and breaking down cardboard boxes in a fruit and veg warehouse.
At one point I was signing on for a few weeks and it was the most degrading and depressing thing I have ever done. Not sure what things are like in other countries but in the
UK if you don't work you are veiwed as the lowest of the low, nothing but a parasitical scrounger (and thats by the people at the job centre who are supposed to be helping you).
Although it is easier said than done, you have to keep your spirits up, get out there with copies of your
CV and drop them into local businesses, even if they arent advertising they may have an odd days work for you. Also, dont be fussy, just because you have a degree/diploma dont be affraid to wash dishes, hand out leaflets or stack shelves. Some work is better than no work, it will boost your self esteme hugely.
To all Dakkaites looking for work, Good Luck
