Sisters at the moment are regulated to the shelf. Just bored with them. Its the same old same old- load up rhinos and immolators and run arcoss and purge at close range.....

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...

Elnicko5 wrote:Today, I finally retired my meganobz. Out of the figure case, and into the display case. Regularly I bring about 2000+pts to my FLGS when I go to try and get some games in, adjusting my list on the spot to the point value I am playing. My meganobz have been in my case, and forming a part of my list, for the past 6 months or so, but after today I decided they needed to get the axe. After one stupendous inaugural game, they have completely flopped. Today, vs space wolves, they charged 7 blood claws, and in the end both units were slaughtered to a man, 210 points of meganobz killed by 140 points of blood claws. I didn't even roll poorly.

As a result I have placed my finely painted and based bad moon meganobz into my display case, most likely to remain untouched and ungamed with for the foreseeable future. My meganobz that I spent hours painting yellow, and detailing with the appropriate iconography. Can anyone else relate to my disappointment, so much work put in to a unit that winds up being so worthless in your list that you wind up shelving them for good? Commiserate with me.

I had both a whole LATD army and a Genestealer cult army that got mothballed (thanks GW).

My Orks..

The are black lagoon/reach orks.. I bought two boxes and a few other odds and ends, but not being able to kill mech is just lame. My regular opponent just brings IG tanks.. thats basically his whole army..

Not being able to reliably kill mech in 40k is like turning up to a gunfight with cataracts and a knife..

Obviously orks can compete but that would require me to buy so much gak I cant be arsed.

So orks sit in a box.

My marine army is from the same black lagoon boxset, is also woefully underequipped, but can still have a chance.. So marines Hurr.

Meganobz work best when gaz is with them in Battlewagon. Get straight over the board jump out .
Gaz then shouts waagh - s+p now gone for 2 movement phases.(gotta love gaz).

run into battle and give them HELL.

I have a mekboy added to my list and put in battlewagon too just for cover save to wagon.

Same here. Although I'm toying with some unusual tactics in my head. Hoping for a shot in the arm in the form of a new 'dex.

My Zoats.

Mercenaries for my Eldar in RT.
Re-absorbed by the hive in fluff. No longer used but cool models.

I seem to have a knack for picking armies that don't really get changed that much.

SM (core, Ultramarines/vanilla whatever), Eldar (non-specific generic craftworld codex), IG (again, non niche derivative army) and GK (the only DH forces I had in the old one were borrowed from my IG).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I try not to let stuff become retired, I'll find a way to use it. That said I found my Gorkamorka gang in a drawer the other day, the boyz haven't been out hunting scrap in about 10 years.
