i wouldnt brag yet if i were you mark.. like you said you get bragging rights only IF you win
my team members and myself are friends so we will work together well there is no worry about that and we each have a wide range of units to choose from... as a matter of fact myself and mike came up with an idea today... yep mark i was at goods in lol
most of all tho i want a game that i will remember for the right reasons if we win or loose as long it is hard fought i wont complain until mark starts winding me up about the fact i never won a game anyway lol

that alone if used correctly should be able to kill just about everything.
The CSM will be great as a hunter killer role, killing anything the others cant deal with as well as a extra strong sheild for the tau or a very pointy strong spearhead for the orks
Ever heard of lootas or XV8's?

Orks - REPAINTED into Ice world orks DA BLOO TIDE WAAAAGH! - around 2k pts.

Hi all,
Im the 3rd coalition player.(Tau) just thought id put my ten pence worth in.
we WILL work together. no doubt about it, there is no way i can see BA winning, no matter how much he spams, with hundreds of orks and plasma/fusion combo XV-8's (death company bye bye) along with the best heavy support in the game (obliterators) and the lash, those little red fairies will be pulled from pillar to post, blasted and battered apart.
Coalition all the way ... Automatically Appended Next Post: oh and we'll do a good battle report, its gonna take 2 days to play out the game anyway, so may as well take notes and write it up afterwards

Im just laughing at all the people in here that are trash talking Orky shooting. Ive seen many shooty armies get trounced from Ork guns. But in a battle like this, Id take Orks in CC for sure, seeing as CSM and Tau are both pretty decent shooters. Might as well get stuck in, thats how I look at it

You're what, 12? Or are you catering to the e-deaf?
Anyhow, you're gonna lose, assuming lists of parity.

Blangels due to unit of command.
While it is an advantage to the allied side to be able to select units which complement each other, Blangels have got everything they need in the one codex and will not have any trouble co-ordinating the different units.

If beneficial abilites cross-codex lines then the coalition has the advantage of a wider selection of units. However, many unique and terribly broken combinations are possible then, and any sort of "balance" that this game had goes right out the window.

THE HORUS HERESY: Emprah: Hours, go reconquer the galaxy so there can be a new golden age. Horus: But I should be Emprah, bawwwwww! Emprah: Magnus, stop it with the sorcery. Magnus: But I know what's best, bawwwwww! Emprah: Horus, tell Russ to bring Magnus to me because I said so. Horus: Emprah wants you to kill Magnus because he said so. Russ: Fine. Emprah's always right. Plus Ole Red has already been denounced as a traitor and I never liked him anyway. Russ: You're about to die, cyclops! Magnus: O noes! Tzeentch, I choose you! Bawwwww! Russ: Ah well. Now to go kill Horus. Russ: Rowboat, how have you not been doing anything? Guilliman: . . . I've been writing a book. Russ: Sigh. Let's go. Guilliman: And I fought the Word Bearers! Horus: Oh shi--Spess Puppies a'comin? Abbadon: And the Ultramarines, sir. Horus: Who? Anyway, this looks bad. *enter Sanguinis* What are you doing here? Come to join me? Sanguinius: *throws self on Horus's power claws* Alas, I am undone! When you play Castlevania, remember me! *enter Emprah* Emprah: Horus! So my favorite son killed my favorite daughter! Horus: What about the Lion? Emprah: Never liked her. Horus: No one does. Now prepare to die! *mortally wounds Emprah*Emprah: Au contraire, you dick. *kills Horus* Dorn: Okay, now I just plug this into this and . . . okay, it works! Emprah? Hellooooo? Jonson: I did nothing! Guilliman: I did more nothing that you! Jonson: Nuh-uh. I was the most worthless! Guilliman: Have you read my book? Dorn: No one likes that book. Khan: C'mon guys. It's not that bad. Dorn: I guess not. Russ: You all suck. Ima go bring the Emprah back to life.

It's up to the players of course, bit my friends regularly play Ork/Guard in official GW tournaments here and have Chimeras inside the KFF bubble, etc.

Then why not just pair up 2 SM armies one with say Vulkan one with Pedro for twinlinked combimelta scoring sternguard doom. Or Kahn and Shrike for fleet outflanking army of ultimate doom.
Admittedly I haven't entered any GW doubles tournaments (beyond local level) but everywhere I know rules you can't double up cross army bonuses. You can't take a Tau army with markerlights to help your IG gunline. You can't take a sisters army with all its flamers TL by having a Vulkan ally and the KFF should only work on Ork troops.

BA are good but they won't hold up to Tau ork & CSM. Have the CSM's by the tau ready to provide a counter-sharge if the BA try to melee the tau. Then have the other CSM's provide a screen for the orks (Cover Save) while they move up & weight of numbers the BA to death. All the while Tau go pew pew

I don't make the rules, I just abide by them
I've seen a CSM-Nurgle/Daemon-Nurgle army in a tournament with Epidemius as the Daemon HQ all benefitting from his Tallyman rule. It's good, but it doesn't mean they're broken or anything. Same as my friends with the Chimeras in KFF bubble. Great, but you still need a balanced army. It's not like either of them either came close to winning.

sooner or later, Tau will realize neither Ork or CSM fight for the Greater Good. CSM will realize " wtf, we must dominate the Orks and Tau, not side with them!!". Then the Orks will go dakka crazy and just want all out waaagh on everything. All in the meanwhile BA sit back and smoke cigars as the 3 armies annihilate each other. When the last Tau battlesuit rises from the rubble, a dreadnought will walk up and power fist smack him.
BA win.
