Because then they'd be called Blood Angels.

They should have Raege. One big flaw of the last codex was that it didn't have commissars. All of their fluff points towards overly enthusiastic commissars being shipped out to the Angry Marines. Commissar Fuklaw, Commissar Dan and his pet basilisk Fluffy, and Commissar Raege all belong in this codex.

I've read some fluff on the wiki of angry marines which link was posted here earlier and as Gitzbitah said they really should have commissars because I've saw some of them in some stories. I'll try now just to think about weapons firs and then afterwards I'll focus on the marines them selves because only then I can pretty much make nice balanced war-gear with stats of the angry marines...and other characters...I've already thought about some weapons so here they are-

Spiky fists- these are pair of special "gauntlets" which have spikes all over the top part. It can be only used by basic Angry Marines (maybe I'll give it to some other characters but this is only for now). It gives the marines +1S. You can buy them for 15pts

Mega Chain sword- This is a bigger version of the normal chain sword. It is double handed weapon and is is same as a power fist but except the fact it is lighter than a power fist it strikes at I3 instead of I1. Only sergeants can have it. You can buy it for 30pts or 35pts can't decide.

Baseball bat with power nail- It is counted as a normal power weapon but it gives a player +1I because it is light. Only sergeant can have it. You can buy it for 20pts or 25pts can't decide.

Also- have you read the pdf? You could see what needs improving and what just needs a small change.

yes I've forget about the cigar...yes I'll totally put it there and if pdf is the codex then yes I've looked through it but tomorrow I shall read it properly or maybe on Friday because tomorrow I am going to GW to finish something...

Eh, the new edition of Codex: Angry Marines isn't nearly as funny or well-written as the older one.

For one thing, they got rid of "Litany of Litany's Litany!"

I'm sorry, but I believe that someone made one long ago, somewhere on the internets. Take some of his special characters, and add some new ones.

This seems like it won't really get off the ground, I'm sorry. There's just too much negative commentary, and you're writing style doesn't suit the way codices are written. Keep in mind, that there are already several unique wargear options for Angry Marines, you don't need to make up stuff like the "Spiky Fist".
Also, I agree with the others, increase WS, reduce BS, reduce leadership and reduce toughness. I always felt that BS 3 in exchange for S5, and a lowered Ld. was all the Angry Marines need to be different from vanilla SMs. That and replacing ATSKNF with Furious Charge and Rage or something. Plus the spiffy wargear.

I do think that there's a need for an Angry Marine codex, but I'd like it written by someone who pounds keyboards so hard that they must be replaced after every page. the existing Codex is fine as far as codex's go. it has fluff, stats, requisite profanity/special rules/wargear.....

you can't really top it.

fething Brave-when you fail your LD you run 2D6 and picking the highest and next turn you do everything normally except the moving phase.

fething angry all the time!!- your sergeant is that angry that he can shoot in CC. On a roll of 1,2 or 3 he hits his own man and on a roll of 4,5 or 6 the enemy after that you roll to wound normally. This can be used only once and only on charge. The fire is count as a normal bolt pistol shot

Only my opinion, but with a start like this you're into a sea of trouble.
Maybe you should start with a pretty marine codex, as they are anyway.
And then work on a codex loved by many.

Have a good read through the existing codex and see what has to be changed to bring them up to date to 5th and make them more balanced.

the really need their BS and WS swapped. it makes no sense they would be better at shooting then bashing your brains out with a baseball bat.

Do you honestly no anything about the Angry Marines other then their funny pictures? Have you ever read an Angry Marines codex at all? Your getting alot of things horribly messed up. To me it seems like you thought itd be a cool idea and jumped in knowing little to nothing about the Angry Marines.
They rip transports apart for falling out of the sky too slowly! Their titans SHOOT them out of Angry Marines cannons! They have power boots, so when they put their foot up an enemies ass, he can NEVER recover from it. EVER!

AND THEY HAVE COMMISARS! What is more scary then a human that is so PISSED he transends to a super human level of holy friggin gak scary. One of them even shot the Emperor in the FACE for interrupting him. Thats intense.

Seriously, I think Ill write a 5th edition Angry Marines codex. My brother and I joke about them all the time anyways. feth it......we are doing it.
