You know, I think I like the idea of a filtered in assault, but doesn't the reserve concept cover that?

Here's another concept: 1/3rd units are deployed, 2/3rds are forced into reserves. (-1 to reserves rolls?)

Maximum points for defenders is 1500. maximum for attackers is 3000.

Defenders can bring Devastator squads, but not armour. Terminator squads have option of deep striking into enemy lines (remember they're trying to kill as many as possible, not necessarily survive). Oh and Deep Strike in this game, the Terminators don't suffer from not knowing where they;re going since they know they'll arrive in the middle of a hoarde. They get to shoot and assault in turn they Deep Strike.

You are talking too specific to certain armies. I suggest you work on an idea that everyone can enjoy because I personally would like to play this with my friends and none of them play marines.

Sorry i'm a space marine player BlackVanguard, and that's what I know.

But you can obviously change the army you're using to Eldar or Tau or Ork or Imp Guard.

Just follow basic rule that defenders force is half the points of the attacking force.
