Triffic.
Last one to starve to death, please turn off the light.
A reasoned opinion as ever....
What's with all this 'call-me-Dave' nonsense anyway? Didn't you vote for 'call-me-Nick'? Did you vote for 'call-me-Tony' in the 90s?
Look out your window and see what Labour has done to our country over the past 13 years.
So many supporters of labour and the lib dems for that matter see the conservatives as evil, no matter what their policies or of the parties that they support.
Look at labour MP's through the election campaign and before, they never spoke about their policies only about what may have happened 20 odd years ago.
If Josef Mengle was running against a Tory then you can bet that rabid Labourites would support his election through to health secretary!

In US news Obama seems to have picked another winner with his Supreme Court nomination...Kraken, err Kragan.
Does he just throw darts at a dart board or randomly pull names from a hat?

I give it between a year to 18 months and we'll have an election again. Once the honeymoon period is over the cracks will start to show. The back benchers will start to play up. Labour will have a nice new shiney leader and the Lib Dem back benchers will start wishing that they went with Labour and "Diamond Dave" will have fobbed them off all that time, and they wouldn't of achieved any of the things they wanted.
In the election I predict that it will go one of three ways:
A real hung parliament (with the Lib Dems losing seats big time). The new shiney Labour leader will pull back some of the lost votes, but not enough.
Labour win with a working majority
Tories win with a working majority
I think the Lib Dems have managed really mess it up. As already mentioned, Clegg went power mad and blew his chance. Voters who went there way to register a protest will go back to their usuall parties.

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

I'm afraid this isn't really relevant to the topic at hand in this thread. Let's have any discussion to do with this topic in another thread please. ta.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

Nah, they're talking fixed terms - I reckon this one's going to run, for better or worse.

My 15 year old cousin said on Facebook that he was leaving the UK now that 'David Thatcher' was in charge. I facepalmed so hard I gave myself a black eye.
Tribalism is very powerful.

I voted LibDem because Labour had no chance in my constituency... and now it seems that my vote effectively might as well have gone for Cameron.
From this point onward, I'm never tactical voting again...
