Perhaps the author is attempting to make a statement about a supposed disconnect between the wishes of the people, as gloriously illuminated by questions regarding platitudes, and the nature of the state, as colorfully illustrated by a multicolored coordinate plane.

Hmm, gold stars for everyone guessing I'd be blue.
I'd be more blue but some of my leaning were to the left so that skewed me a little bit.

Right in the middle, just where I expected it to be.
The question that more or less said "Do you feel your race has advantages of other races" was an interesting one. "Advantages" stuck out as the key word to me, and was why I clicked agree. Before you go all crazy and say I'm a KKK member, all I meant was that I do believe that whites enjoy certain advantages (that we don;t necessarily deserve based solely on skin color) in our society, especially when it comes to minor criminal offenses, where a minority might receive a stricter sentence than a white kid. All I know is that the two times I've gotten pulled over, the cops usually just gave me a slap on the wrist as opposed to the ticket I probably should have gotten.
I also found a lot of questions to be very limiting. The one or two concerning abortion, in particular. I've never approved of abortion. Seeing fetal remains was a real eye opener for me. That said, I don;t believe it's right for anyone else to tell a women what she can or can't do concerning childbirth. I myself am an adopted child, and I have to say, I've always appreciated my biological parents making what i know was a hard choice. If I was a politician, I'd make it my goal to incentivize putting babies up for adoption to the point where it's the only logical choice for 99% of expecting mothers.

"Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races."
That doesn't sound like a play on words to me. "Our" stuck out as the key word to me, mainly because that doesn't mean anything to me.
White is not a race; it is an abstract expression of race.
Just to throw an anchor into the BS, race doesn't mean anything of significance either. Within understandable terms, ethnicity and race, both fall far out of bounds; encompassing a very broad range of opinion.

Hah. I guess I misremembered it when writing my post.
Point still stand though. I guess my race has the superior quality of not getting ticketed as much. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying, in my experience, that's how it seems to be.
Or maybe I just haven't realized that I'm a closet white supremacist until now. I guess I should go tell all my black friends and that Asian chick that works at GameStop that I've been crushing on to steer clear.

I made no mention of you being racist, just to be clear.
There are inequalities present within any society, and the color of a persons skin is a matter of fate (completely out of your control). The question in this survey, begged many other questions, purely by it's tone. You can call that tone whatever you want, but the pattern was there, and the trick was present.

You mean that white people are positively discriminated in the society you live in.
You misunderstood the test question I think. I read that it was asking if you believed your 'race' was a superior one.

OK. That seems fair - I AM very liberal as far as things like the arts, sexuality, abortion, drug-use are concerned. I guess that dragged me towards the left a bit.

Maybe it has plotted you corrctly in the middle, but everyone else wrongly.
I voted Thatcher, still would given the chance and while very open about my social beleifs I am still a fundie, yet for all that the Compass shows you to be far more authoritarian and right wing than I.
Given for what we are seeing and the test answrs WarOne gave for the questionaire it is totally skewed not in terms of its general questions, but specifically the selection of right wing answers. Most people appear to be happy once the whole compass is given a redshift so that we congragate around the middle, so people on the right side of the green square belong on the rfight hand side of the whole compas, more or less. The questionaire assumes most answers given by a right winger are actually left wing or central, the only opinions labelled as truly right wing those that are 'crossing the line' and being the sort of odious gak the BNP beleive in. Sounds like the questionare creators beleive it is impossible to formulate a right wing opinion without the sudden need to put on a piointy white head mask or developing the urge to invade Poland.

Not my website. Saw a few comments towards that assessment, but it is a really old website I used back in 2004 to gain an appreciation for the candidates that were in the US Presidential election at the time.
