Isn't a stormbird the predecessor to the thunderbird? And from what I remember from the books, it's larger than the tbird.

It looks like it would be a cool storm raven...?

Either way it does look cool.

It is way too big to be a Storm Raven.
In mass it is larger than the Thunderhawk although the length and width are about the same. I will take some pictures to show the comparison.
I think both the Stormbird and Thunderhawk were used at the same time if I remember correctly. The Stormbird had more use as a troop transport before and during the Heresy due to the fact that Legions were massively bigger than Chapters are. The Thunderhawk was more used as a space borne fighter. I could be wrong about all that but that is how I remember the fluff.

I see what you mean, a closer look reveals it it quite large. I like those tilt rotors, reminds me of a photo in the OG 40K book, I should dig it out and scan it.

I got a coat of paint on my stormbird today. The blue is not really that ULTRA it really is darker. it is here with a thunderhawk for size comparison.

Wow, that thing is huge. It mean that cockpit is actually like a control deck.

While I appreciate the many hours that went into these, it just doesnt have that marine look to me. These are more IG landers to my eyes, but thats just me.

I'm actually more interested in your Razorback than the Stormbirds. I assume it's just a Land Raider bow plate cut to fit, but would it be possible to see some more pictures from a bit closer up?

For the love of the Emperor people, it's a TURRET. There is no such thing as a turrent!

I was wondering when/if someone was going to notice that. I will take some pictures tonight when I get home. I have 2 like that and another Land Raider front plate to make a 3rd. Realistically it is not very good because you lose the 360 rotation on the turret but I really like the way it looks. It is a very easy conversion if you can get the part, I just cut down the width of the Land Raider part and fit it into the Rhino chassis.

After a long delay the pictures you requested.

I really like this and I might just have to make a third as I have the LR piece needed to make it.

Where did you get the StormBird stuff from?

Excellent. I'm thinking I may use that design for a tl Heavy Flamer Razorback or even a Baal variant. Thanks.
