Crist is a good governor, and most polls have him winning a 3 way race. Florida was based on the housing market, He did what he had too to save his state. He worked with the Democrats one time and the gay accusations started.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole |

Clapping and approving the words spoken by a foreign leader in mockery of any part of the United States is borderline anti-American.
There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism but to show agreement by clapping for the guy is not something a President of the US should do. Obama should have said something along the lines of "Well, Mr. President. As much as I want to agree with you I have to politely point out that your immigration law is not perfect. I feel we need to work together to curb the problem, not point fingers and lay blame one who's fault it is that the drug cartels on your side of the line are out of control and that the millions of illegals over on this side of the line are out of control.
There is diplomacy and there is defending your country. There would have been tactful ways for Obama to redirect blame away from AZ but he chose not to because he himself is against AZ doing what HIS administration should be doing. He wants to bring change to the US. He can start by enforcing a Federal law last enacted seriously in the 20's.
This may or may not be your most reasoned post ever....

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

The bullet entered and exited two people, twice each. It travelled through 15 inches of flesh. At the end of this the bullet was almost entirely intact. The idea was hotly contested among the Warren commission, who ultimately found it to be unlikely, but not enough to warrant rejection of the single shooter theory.
The flight path of the bullet is very, very unlikely. If one is of the impression that any possible unexplained event means there must be a conspiracy, then one can spend years of their life arguing over the bullet. The rest of us can accept that it may not be possible to explain the flight path of a bullet and get on with our lives.
I expect that's what Specter did, and it was his idea.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Actually, it was explained pretty clearly not too long ago. The seats in the limo were offset as well as not being at the same height. This in combination with the positon of both men at the moment lines up the shot from Oswald and through both men perfectly. Trials through ballistic gel mockups at the same angles and ranges reproduced the same wounds and the rounds fired ended up with little to no deformation.

Yes, not to get OT, but the bullet was also not "pristine". The bullet was flattened and missing lead from the base of the bullet. While hitting two people and not passing through bone is an unlikely shot, it certainly is quite possible, and a jacketed bullet is not going to deform passing through muscle. Oswald didn't put much thought into what ammunition he was using.

I'd actually like to see him run for president.
Getting this back on topic and away from get another tiresome and inane OBAMA BAD campaign led by the usual suspects, I'm kinda mixed on Specter. On one hand, he's a moderate. I am too. On the other hand, he's kind of a primary example of a career Congressman. I think his party switch was less about a principled stand than what was (thought to be) best for his career longevity.
He's done a lot for PA, but we're talking about a guy who came up with the magic bullet theory after Kennedy's assassination. I think it's unfortunate that we're seeing some purging of moderates on the Dem side just like what's happened with the GOP over the last 10-15 years. But he's been there a ridiculously long time, and it's past time for some new blood.

*facepalm*
The POINT is that he's been in the friggin' Congress since Kennedy was assassinated. Which more amazing than any possible bullet flight path. J.H.C., I'm not arguing ballistics here...just referencing his contribution to the Warren Commission by its colloquial name.

Why is the length of someone's tenure alone a reason for electing or not electing someone? At this point, the way this country is going in politics, I'd want anyone with a centrist position, regardless of how long they've been in politics. Frankly I think the ability to switch parties is a good thing. It means you are a centrist.
