For example:
does the "shield of Sanguinis" provide and 5+ cover save to vehicles within 6"?

depending on if this is allowed or not allowed may alter if I take that power.

if it is a roll-off then its to hard to build an army that might take something.

I will attempt to field as many answers as I can prior to the tournament.

I will foreward your question to the T.O, but my personal interpretation is YES. The entry in the book states units gain the cover save. Not infantry, vehicle or whatever specifically. Any model in your army is a unit, so I would grant the save.

It has nothing to do with attitudes or perceptions, but everything to do with disproportional allotment of locations and players.

It would be more understandable, if Florida had only 2 locations then for there to be one in North Florida, and two in South Florida.

According to GW's own website, here is a map of all the gaming stores in Florida:



See a concentration anywhere?

try looking up Cali.

Heck, just taking one of our locations and giving it to California seems fairer them South Florida getting two.

Like I keep saying, Central Floridians are more upset over the distribution then the drive.

Everywhere else its 1 or none.
If you include the Canadian locations, the GW site only lists 33 States/Provinces.
Some people don't realy have a choice of where to go.

Maybe next year they can add a quarter final round between the prelims and the semis.

3. Power: We decided a national election single handidly in 2000

The Tampa area actually has a lot more stores than Orlando.

I thought I would be annoyed about the lack of Central Florida locations but some players in the US have to drive +4 hours to get to a semis location and it really does come off as spoiled. While it is logical to have a North/South/Central locations for semis, its GW that decided. West Coast of Florida seems to have plenty of stores and I wouldnt mind seeing them host the semis at Darkside comics or Skull N Bonz.

Like I said, the argument was never the drive. It was always the proportional spread of Aard Boy Locations across the state. I keep saying it makes more sense to give an additional location to a state that doesn't even have one then for Florida to have 2 withing even a 2 hour drive of each other.

I can guarantee you that of the three possible locations in Central Florida that could have hosted it, they had plenty of space to make sure everybody finished the games in the schedule given.

Guys, don't come to Florida to play. We are Awesome! At least down in the south the mindset is very Tourny minded. It is rare to find a list that is for fun to play against. Though in the past year since I started it has made me a better player. I placed fourth for first round ard boys for my first official tournament only because someone gave up last game to a contender for full points. I also found out that I could have played semis because I think one of the guys didn't show up. Oh well. Back on topic, we got players all over Florida and i hope to go north to try my hands at those guys. I think sci fi city has a large regular group right?

Looks like one location should have ended up in Orlando. From what I understand, there were 5 attendees and a ringer to play down in Miami. Looks like nobody bothered to travel that far south. Kind of a bummer for the Central Florida crowd.

There were several issues at the Jacksonville location that made some players unhappy. Despite that, I had a good time and ended up taking third after a data entry error was found in the scoring.

Jose I was going to the other location. I didn't make it because they always run their preliminaries on sunday and I forgot that GW makes them run the semis on saturday. I wish GW would just make them run all of their ard boyz events on saturday and I wouldn't have missed this semis. I won in round 3 of the preliminaries against you so I don't know why you would have placed higher if that person didn't concede to his opponent.
