@MajorTom11: Thanks for the suggestion! I've actually tried a few as inserts and it's a lot more hassle than I found it to be worth.

I do offer round lip bases for the PP/Anima gamers out there -- but for now I'm sticking with the signature straight side Secret Weapon base. Once people try them I get nothing but positive feedback -- you just need to take that first leap

Those bases are fethen amazing!

Friends are like potatoes, if you eat them they die.

When life gives you lemons, make orange juice, and let everyone wonder how you did it.

I hear ya, personally I don't really care about the lip style, at least between straight and gw style. If they are rounded bevels I like them to be consistent, due to their more obvious style and nature.

Still, you did well for yourself hiring Navarro for these, he is a great sculptor and seems to be a great guy too. I think you will do very well with these, best of luck!

@MajorTom11: I have to agree on the round lip point -- if they have a round lip then I want them all to be the same. I combine my bevel and straight bases without even considering it though.

And Navarro is great and I'm glad to be working with him. I'm hoping for many (MANY!) more projects together... so remember to order some of these bases so that I can afford him. HA!

I've had so many people ask me about pre-orders that I've launched it ahead of schedule:

Hi all, glad to see the bases ready for preorder... As I said earlier I had to redo 2 bike bases since Secretweapon ussually sells these bases in packs of 3 units... making 2 sets... So one set themed with less xeno invasion and another with more xeno things.
I only had to change 2 bases with more xeno material for the second set. Hope you guys like it.
Also someone sugested 25mm small objectives for games with some eggs, so I created a couple objectives that will be casted 3x each making a nice pack of 6 egg objectives. yummy gotta love eggs.

Some pics

All these are waiting for aproval and Im ready to ship them in order to be casted.

very funky Navarro...
reminds me of the 3-D Giger bar in Swiss...
you've got mad skills, bro...

@misterjustin...i'm still not sold on the straight base edge...
i reccommend your stuff to a lot of people, but can't bring myself to buy any yet...

since i paint GW minis for resale, i can't bring myself to use the bases for GW minis, as i think it would bother my customers...
i do see Winterdyne using your bases on his commissions, and his customers don't seem to mind...
it's always the first thing i notice with his minis though, and it bothers the hell out of me...

that said, i will be using your display bases for non-GW minis, and i'm curious to try out your first basing kit (the one with the snow)...
i'm always happy to try a new product, and give the little guy a chance...

my 30mm Han Solo mini should look good on your deckplate display base...

best of luck, and keep up the good work...

cheers
jah

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Excellent sculpting skills, I'll be immediately moving to your profile to search for other work.

Great Giger-esque forms, of particular note are the internal cavities of the pod forms.

Just put in a small test order for 40mm and bike bases. got some flagstone 40mm as well as looked nice. Let you know what I think.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Guess they best fit here:

Secret Weapons has posted Greens of upcoming boneswords (both Hive Tyrant as shown and Warrior sized) that are NOT sculpted by Navarro, but Huw Davies:

(Navarro has sculpted boneswords earlier for Chapterhouse Studios http://chapterhousestudios.com/webshop/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.browse&category_id=34 )

See, my question to those swords is 1: why doesn't the blade come further down, and 2: how does it attach to a tyranid warrior? They look cool but I think I need to see em on a model, and with a blade that goes further than halfway down its own length.

This is all worthy of a nut busting in someone's pants.
'Sexy' is how I will describe the bases.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

When I first saw them I thought wow great daemon bases (would be great painted up in some chaotic, warping type colours).
Also might do as Dark Eldar bases if done in a suitable dark black, greys and purples as that is how I think of comerragh (spelling?) looking.

As well as the obvious Nid uses.
