Looks good. I like the hood too...bulks the head out. Keep up the good work.

I think this is really well done thus far. The pecks need to be smoothed out a tad more. But the over appearance is great. I dont know if I would think of it as a space marine. Maybe a desolate of some sort though. The hold has to stay. It is great. Now add as much gear as humanly possible and make him look well traveled.

Just to prove that i am doing some work ive started the base coat on him. so you can see the colour scheme im useing.
the cam makes the highlights a lot sharper than they are realy and once hes had a mate varnish they will blend in even more.
had problems with the primer as it came out powdery but once its finnished hes gona be dusted up with wethering powder anyway so it shouldnt show.
also what dosnt show is the green sheen to the metal on his arms. and the patern and detail on the shemargh.

still gota do a lot of work on the metalics and the blue/green of the bionic leg .ive removed the bolter as that is being painted seperatly .
and just in case you didnt think he looked very marine like ive put him next to a runty psyker so you can see how beefy he is ...

hrm,,..... what size are these at? about IG size or closer to TS SM size? Feel free to PM me on that so as not to hijack thread.

OT: I actually like the hood on the character once you've gotten some paint on him. I'm just a little confused as to what armor he is wearing? cloth pants with armor plates on the legs, and looks like a scout chestplate on him, but is the middle torso area going to be bare? (the abs are throwing me off)

There closer to IG in size. As for this guy he ain't got any armour on his torso and only "shin pads ".on his legs he's just wearing a bodyglove.

I actually like the smaller head. Remember, space marines are MADE super huge, they're not born that way.

All in all, this is coming across quite nicely. My only complaint is that, given his stance, the ammount of space between his appendages actually gives him a slightly scrawny appearance. Perhaps you could give him a cloak to fill some of the negative space, or something?

That, and while he doesn't need a big fat dong flopping out of his speedo, you still fail if he's going shirtless but doesn't have nipples.

I look forward to seeing how this progresses.

Nah hes not shirtless hes wearing a desert tan body suit so no nipples ...
and i dont think hes got a huge package . but it would make sense as the adeptus astartes means the pupils of astarte also known as astoroth and aphrodite .!
Astarte was connected with fertility, sexuality, and war. lol
Once the bolters back under his arm it bulks him out.
sorry about the blured pics but i didnt have my lil tripod around so just had to hold my breath lol

Bolter looks sick, great job on that overhaul.
For the body glove bit, I'd really suggest giving it a slightly different appearance as he does look to be in the buff. I'd suggest going for a dessert camo look as it'll break up the coloration that is making him look nude. and for the armor plates(and maybe on bolter as well) maybe some roughed edge highlights in boltgun metal to show wear and tear from being in the field? It would also break up the solid coloration a bit further and define the pieces better as plates of armor.

Just suggestions to potentially enhance it as well as break up the solid coloration. Solid colors are more easily visible when movement is made which is why modern armies use camo to break up their shapes, I'd imagine scouts would be the same as they're the sneaky ones.

Dosnt show in the pics but the body glove has a rougher texture than the skin .and im gona go over him with weathering powder to dirty him up.
and with the camo my tan/coyote brown gear and body armour actaly blendsin to desert/sand better than the acu/multicam. plus i want him to stand out abit against the normal humans who will be digi camed up .

ah, thats the prob w pics, sometimes you cant see things that are there, but even from a distance he'd look it at this point. Looking forward to seeing more pics when hes weathered a bit, I can see that having the same effect as camo'in as it'll give a difference in looks.

Keep up the great work on this sofar, and I look forward to seeing how he progresses.

Umm ran out of batts ror the cam so ive taken these on my new phone. there a bit dark as it was late when i took them ......
this is the 2nd bloke from the sqd a hvy weapons specialist he is slightly shorter and thicker set than the first one who im gona use as a sgt.
he has a bionic left arm {perfect for lugging around his hvy bolter} again in a bodyglove but with one lightly armoured greave . has a reserve hvy bolt drum slung of his belt and a backpack.
the hvy bolter is a chopped down lighter version with a digi sight added and a drum mag.
i will try and get some better pics soon.

Sir, I think those may be Astartes infiltrators.

What makes you say that, son?

He's 8 foot tall, has a tiny head, and is one arming a heavy bolter.
