I hate plastic SM scouts more than any other models...

Ignoring things like the Pumbagore and other things that make you wonder why they even bothered, I'd have to say that Plastic Scouts draw the most ire from me, specifically because they shouldn't be so bad.

The metal Scouts that preceded them were wonderful models. The plastic ones replaced these great sculpts with MAN-CHIN Scouts that all look the same. Then, worse, they had the hide to put grooves on all the arms, limiting the way they can be posed. I know you can remove the groove, but they should never have been present in the first place, not when kits like the plastic Space Marine and plastic Chaos Marine (my personal fav kit) existed before them without the need for such limiting factors. And the MAN-CHINS... my God the MAN-CHINS. Why must they all look alike???

Then the Scouts got even worse with the release of the Sniper Scouts, who are so mono-dimensional with their ultra-specific torsos and legs. I converted one of them to carry a bolter and my God that was a stretch - a lot of cutting, a lot of glue, and using glue to melt plastic to cover gaps.


Plastic Scouts are... 'ok' models, but in comparison to (perplexingly) what came before them (never mind after them), they are awful sculpts.

Mephiston's head is attached VERY precariously to his head, with multiple tubes and doo-dads, not to mention the psychic hood.
On-Topic: The new flash git model. That is NOT a flash git, it has less armour than a normal nob for crissakes! I also don't really like the Nob that comes with the boyz box. Looks like some kinda deformed freak, they should've given it some seperate legs. With just a choppa and slugga, it's VERY hard to tell the nob apart in a large crowd of boyz.

The 3rd edition Lamartes was beyond awful. It looked like he was in a wind tunnel or something.

The old school Thrakka looked so flat and lifeless. I hated it when it first came out and I still hate it.

The first edition Imperial Guardsmen would have been okay looking if not for their gigantic, bulbous noggins.

Most eldar infantry. They would look really cool if their helmets didn't look like conehead-stormtroopers.

Ratlings too! I really love my sniper teams in IG but little mutant dwarfs made of pewter and then you try and make em into cadian snipers or rather, replace em and what do you need, oh, ten command box sets to get ten identical models, yay! or, i can spend two hundred bucks and get pewter ones and then it looks like two sets of identical guys! Either way, lame...I still want to do it though! Damn you GW!

i've *cough*assembled*cough* 2 of them thus far, only one of them is actually full complete, one i play with just its base (i couldnt get the sides to fit) and the other is played with just the sides (i couldnt get the base to fit). the third i wound i purchasing pre-painted and pre-assembled to retain my sanity

Hmm, Eldar basic jetbikes because the heads kill them. I'd replace them with wood-elf heads.

But, my least favourite model in the entire world has to be the new Pink Horrors.

What? Your post is confuse. Calgar looks fine for who he is..Dunno how you'd get "Rape me swarmlord" from that...The sisters still look great for how old they are, I have no idea what you're talking about. They're 12 years old, give them a break. The old bloodletters were that old, and look at those :3

Oh i hate the terminus landraider kit good god it took like six hours to convert my LRC. and that was just to glue crap on.

I hated the old blood crusher model. If you assembled it as it came in the box the thing stood off tilt. It looked dopey if you left it alone and it was really a pain to fix.

I didn't really have a hard time making my Terminus, but then again, it was scratch built. Anything that's converted from one form to another would, I'd think, take a lot more time than scratch building it if you had a picture to work with.

But onto my most hated model... I've always thought Tau looked so damn silly. Maybe it's just the Tau players I've played against, but for some reason, their head pieces never stay attached, or something's always falling off of their vehicles. There's nothing more obnoxious, IMHO, than a model that keeps falling apart with each use. That being said, I despise pewter mini's also, but alas, they're very necessary for many of my lists...

We were asked opinions on what models we hate. I gave my opinions.

Calgar is charging, arms to the side and leaving his head unguarded. He is just begging for a thunderhammer to the face.

and again, I stand by my words when I say SoB need an update model wise.
