I've become a bit more analytical in my real life. Noticing little details, things like that.

I think I have a better sense of color and proportion. I also have a better appreciation, on a technical level, with a lot of fine art painting.
I think I've learned to think things through, come up priorities, and learn to clearly work towards my goal, instead of simply doing as much as I can.

Funnily enough, my dice rolling skills have never helped me when in a casino..... I'm always rolling multiple, back-to-back 7s in a 40k game (terrain tests, LD, running...)

I'm really really good at judging distances ranging from 6" to 4 feet.
levity aside,
Playing wargames has greatly enhanced my ability to rapidly memorize information and be able to bring the knowledge to the forefront at a moments notice.

I work in a lab that has an ISO accreditation. Sometimes auditors come in and try to give us findings that aren't actually findings, so I'm the guy who writes curt little responses that tells them why they can't nail us for what they are trying to.
I credit my 40k rules lawyering experience for this skill.

I think warhams has helped me step ouside my comfort zone, trying different things and experimenting.
Also my artistic side has improved as i'm taking a Graphics GCSE course. Something I wouldn't have even considered when I started secondary school.

Estimating distances has certainly improved, as has mental arithmatic.
However the most practical skill I've picked up is the ability to fix things. Countless times various friends, family members, superintelligent shades of blue, have broken things, and they get sent to me for repairs. Pinning the head back onto an ornament was a surreal experience.

Wargaming has given me a good grasp on proportions and the like, and has given me a sort of interest in art (I guess that's what you call 'painting stuff') which makes girls happy.
I can also guess smaller distances a ton better than before.

I won't lie....I keep a few dice with me at all times. Someone cut me off in traffic a couple days ago. I drive a Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible (AV11/11/10) and I rolled a D6 to see if a ramming attack could penetrate his rear armor. It did, and I hit that motherf....*cough* he flew off the road and I drove by screaming "WAAAAUGH!"
Last August someone ran into me. I rolled to wound myself and failed to wound. I ended up being perfectly fine.

I just remembered: 40K is probably single handedly the thing that made me interested enoug in stats to pass it last semester.
Also, a Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible is not as tough as a rhino.
That's be 10/10/10 open topped!
Also not a tank, so you don't get the +1
Then again, that's probably a fast vehicle. so... let's see, best case scenario:
18" move = 6 + 0(armour) +0(not tank)
4 to glance, 5+ to pen.
yep you can ram that sonova-
edit: actually still a bad idea seeing as you take the same hit and are open-topped so yeah.
oh god Why did i go through this?
