I played a Necron army in a 2000 point battle with my IG a week ago last Saturday, and totaly stomped my opponent. He kept a Monolith and some warriors in reserve, but thanks to the help of my OOF they didn't arrive until turn 4. By that point, I had managed to drop his C'tan, all of his destroyers, and a squad of warriors. When his reserve squd did show up, I managed to shoot them into enough pieces to force the phase out.

Now, granted, I was having a very lucky night, and my opponent was quite un-lucky. Still, I only lost 5 guardsmen to his shooting, and handily one with occupying objectives.

He got be back, though this past saturday during our 3200 point Spearhead battle!
