Mephiston is the least of a Necron players worries when facing BA.

Necron gods should pwn Mephiston in the face. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't necron gods insta kill models without eternal warrior regardless of toughness?

Anyhow Mephisoton aside Necrons are pretty screwed against BA.

Necrons rely on forcing large numbers of regular armor saves from a combination of warriors, immortals, and destroyers for their MEQ killing power. FNP cuts casualties by regular armor saves in half, and thus cuts the damage output of warriors, immortals, and destroyers in half. Warriors, immortals, and destroyers are the heart of a necron army, thus FNP cuts the heart out of a necron army.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Yep, in my neck of the woods Meph is 0-3 against my Thraka. I don't think he's even managed to get a wound on him.

I've also taken him out, although this was more of a gamble, by dual assaulting with a max size unit of gretchin and a 4x CCW Deff Dread. The three grabbin sticks in b2b with Meph held him to one attack, which he only managed to get a shaken result on the dread, who then ripped him to pieces.

Meph is not the uber cheese people say he is, but with a good player, and a list built to support him, damn does he become dirty

I've killed him three times (in three encounters) with my Tyranids. Once when he assaulted 15 poisoned Genestealers, and twice via the Swarmlord (and a Lashwhip guard).

or maybe one more pulse laser shot if he is still alive
I dont even bother using fire dragons on him

I don't believe you.

You know that you statistically don't even cause a whole two wounds right?

Karvick wrote:Mephistons is a waste of points. Take a Libby with a storm shield and you'll get the same killing power but he'll be an IC and he can actually defend himself.

If He was immune to a Nid's lashwhip then I could see him as a monster killer but he sucks at this dispite his stat line which for me makes him a missed opportunity.

Wow. There are plenty of BA psychic powers that help with that second part...

As for the first part... that's a joke right? For half the points you get a serious downgrade.

Okay, he has multiple psychic powers per turn IIRC. As well as the ability to face rape whatever had the psychic hood near him.

Yes. Plasma is good against him, doesn't mean Mephiston sucks.

Wow. Funny coming from you.

Personally, I simply throw my deathstar at it, and take the casualties as a neccesity.

Fire Knive suits & broadsides if necessary, though the broadsides I'd rather throw into tanks. Also Nob Bikers.

Mephy eats Nightbringer. Goes first IIRC, will most likely strike at S10, and his wounds could cause Instant Death, which the C'tan has no defense against.

My reaction was to take said die, and hurl it out the window of the 3rd floor of our student union. I then placed a Commissar model next to the rest of my dice pile. They immediately began performing much better.

Hmm lol I guess the necron gods to lack eternal warrior. I guess it's overlooked because of their T8 immunity to double toughness and most force weapons. Necrons shouldn't be taking a C`Tan anyway as it kills a rez orb, and Mephiston is going to be the least of their worries with the entire rest of the BA army having FNP. Even without meph I don't see Necrons having much of a chance against BA.

I think that C'Tan are immune to instant death, it says it in the C'Tan stats, not the Nightbringer or Deciever Page.

I killed him with my Chapter Master. Which I've added to my lore. But Mephiston and the army i was facing were called Chaos forces and were attacking a planet on a Desert Planet. Calnor has killed five of the same Character. But Still he's pretty easy to kill if you use your minitures right. Just keep another psyker with you and hes screwed.
