So can SOB with faith I think...

Thinking about it, the SOB acts of faith are really quite odd... They aren't psychic, and they are spawned from faith... Whats going on there?

Once you accept that mental energy can affect the material world there is no effective difference between faith and psychics.

It's just a kind of placebo effect.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I believe in the previous Imperial Guard Codex there was someone, Colonel Schaeffer, Commissar Gaunt, one of thier followers or something...

ANYway they got an Invulnerable save because he heard voices in his head, they'd usually tell him to butcher his enemies but might sometimes tell him to "DUCK!"

I beleive that was one of the Last Chancers. Lieutenant something or other? Yeah, basically he lives becuase the voices in his head tell him to.

There are two schools of thought on the matter.

The first is that Faith is much like the Ork's Waaargh effect. Orks truely believe that their ramshackle junk is functional machinery and their force of beliefe is such that the Univers makes it so. Same deal for the Sister's Faith - They fully believe that they can take a lascannon to the face and shrug it off, and the universe says 'okie dokie'.

The alternative is that Faith is exactly what it looks like, the Emperor personally intervening to protect his most devout servants.

Either way, yes she has a 2++ save and no, crying won't help you.

Actually the Ork Waaagh! energy is a kind of psychic field that affects reality and makes their technology work.

Leuitenant Kage got the 4++ 'cos apparently he is a latent psyker and voices in his head give spoilers from the future away e.g. duck.
Gaunt had a 4++ from Brin Milo if he was within 2" because he could "anticipate" enemy attacks.

Seriously that rule is best described without resorting to comparing it to a human condition that some people are a little touchy about.
